Britney and K-Fed have finally reached a divorce settlement.
It’s rumored that Kevin Federline will get about one million dollars. Early it had been rumored that he’d get more, and well, he was asking for more, but Britney’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, had drafted an air tight pre-nuptial agreement.
Britney and Kevin will have joint custody of their two sons, sharing time with them 50/50.
It’s thought that the divorce will be finalized very soon.
TMZ is reporting that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have come up with a settlement that is satisfactory to both singers. The two were married for three and a half years but officially divorced this past June.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Simpson and Lachey have signed a written stipulation on their financial dispute.
Under California’s community property law, without a prenup, each should have walked away with about $18 million dollars since the pair as a couple had earned about $36 million as a couple. Simpson however disputed that and offered Nick a measly $1.5 million. He turned that down.
It hasn’t been reported how much Nick Lachey will receive under the terms of the agreement but it’s said to be significantly more than $1.5 million, and less than $18 million.
Mel B is going after Eddie Murphy in her paternity suit against actor Eddie Murphy. She’s hired lawyer Don Engel. She’s vowing to take him “to the cleaners†. Mel B, who’s real name is Melanie Brown, formerly of the Spice Girls was dumped by Eddie during a TV interview.
“Mel is refusing to lie down and let Eddie walk all over her – and this is reflected in her choice of lawyer. She wants to hit him where it hurt the most – in the pocket. They don’t come much better than Don,” a source told the ‘Daily Mirror’ newspaper.
“Don’s services don’t come cheap but he one of the best lawyers around. Most lawyers would relish taking on an A-list star and Don will surely be no exception,†the source added.
“This is a war and if Eddie doesn’t know it, he will very shortly.”
It’s expected that she’ll get a good settlement if she wins the case.
A retired judge will mediate a meeting between Michael Richards and the four black men that he targeted in a tirade of racial slurs during a comedy club performance.
Michael is slated to apologize in person to the men. The judge will also help determine if other actions should take place to resolve the matter such as a cash settlement. A time and place for the meeting has yet to be set.
Lawyer, Howard J. Rubenstein, who represents Richards says “My client Michael hopes to put it behind him,”
Attorney Gloria Allred said Richards should meet with her clients “to hear the pain that he inflicted on them and to apologize to them.”
Richards, who played the wacky neighbor Kramer on “Seinfeld,” has been on a campaign of contrition since his outburst at the Laugh Factory nightclub.
