Impaired Celebs

by Tricia

Word on the street is that Lindsay Lohan is on the wagon. Sad that she’s under age to legally drink in most States and she’s got a drinking problem isn’t it? She announced earlier this week that she’s been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for a yar and hasn’t had a drink in weeks.

“We have learned that she has been in AA,” Szish said. “She’s trying to show us that at this point she’s trying as much as she can to be serious about it. Again, she’s 20 years old and it is something that’s simple steps. If she’s taking those steps, a week a great.”

Then there’s Nicole Ritchie and her DUI – “She was arrested for a DUI, not for alcohol, but reportedly for taking vicodin and a bit of marijuana,” Szish said. “She was driving her car home from a late movie, following her boyfriend and missed a turn and got on the wrong freeway entrance and her car was driving in the wrong direction and she got into trouble.”

She’s so lucky that she didn’t hit anyone. I hope she starts to take responsibility for her actions, you can’t take meds, illegal drugs or drink and drive. It’s just wrong.

Who’s having a Birthday this week? December 17th – 23rd

Serrano used industrial grade silicone in his anti-wrinkle injections

by Tricia

This is going to cause a wrinkle in the lives of a few wealthy Beverly Hills residents lives. An Argentinian doctor who once used the homes of the wealthy to inject clients with an illicit anti-wrinkle chemical has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.

Daniel Tomas Fuente Serrano was sentenced to two years in prison. Prosecutors for the case say he gave the illegal injections at various places, including parties, where up to 30 wealthy clients sipped cocktails and were injected with silicone smuggled into the U.S. Oh great and injection party. Is that what they do in Hollywood? Clients of Serranos are said to have included Lionel Richie, Richies ex-wife Diane and Shawn King, the wife of CNN talk show host Larry King.

Serrano charged his clients thousands of dollars for the injections, yet he wasn’t licensed to practice medicine in the United States. The injections consisted of industrial grade silicone used to lubricate auto parts, as well as medical grade silicone which is often used for eye surgeries but has not been approved for the treatment of wrinkles.

Serrano admitted to having given illegal injections from 2001 until November of 2004, earning more than 1.6 million US. Last year he plead guilty to several counts including conspiracy and the receipt of illegally imported merchandise.

It’s not surprising that some of Serrano’s clients have reported that they’ve developed problems after the injections. Diane Richie has been charged with aiding and abetting Serrano.

Jaime Pressly to have a boy

by Tricia

Jaime Pressly confirms that she’s expecting a baby with fiance Eric Cubiche after initially insisting reports of her impending motherhood were false.

The star confessed she is now four months pregnant to talk show host Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” yesterday.

Pressly’s My Name Is Earl co-star Jason Lee fueled speculation surrounding her pregnancy in September by declaring the actress will “be a great mom”, and she now admits she had told him about her news. The 29-year-old said of her initial denial, “I was only a month pregnant so I lied, which is a woman’s right.”

Pressly’s doctor has confirmed she will have a boy. She told Leno, “She asked me what I thought I was having and I said a boy. She looked at the picture and said, ‘If that’s not a boy that’s a third leg.’ Of course, Eric says it’s because he’s Cuban.”

Cubiche and Pressly’s son will be called Dezi James.
