This past Saturday night he did a stand-up comedy routine.<\/p>\n<p>He performed at New York City&#8217;s Comedy Cellar where he poked fun at his single life, his music and sang a raunchy ballad as a joke about Carrie underwood&#8217;s hit &#8220;Before He Cheats&#8221;.  Mayer also went on to say that male song writers can&#8217;t get as aggressive in their songs as females can.  He then went on to make up a raunchy little song about sex.<\/p>\n<div class=\"0ef8bfa44cafabceb297ac3097736deb\" data-index=\"4\" style=\"float: right; margin:0px 0 0px 0px;\">\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-3375789278566919\";\r\n\/* celebrity_inpost_250x250 *\/\r\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"9540164754\";\r\ngoogle_ad_width = 250;\r\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\r\n\/\/-->\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\r\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>At one point in his routine he said &#8220;I don&#8217;t wash my clothes to make them cleaner, I wash them to make them tighter \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that&#8217;s what makes me single,&#8221; he says, leaning against the basement comedy club&#8217;s brick wall. &#8220;Guys, I don&#8217;t have a washer-dryer, I have a wetter-tightener.&#8221;<\/p><!--CusAds-->\n<p>Mayer and Jessica Simpson are still in &#8220;on again, off again&#8221; mode.
