I’ve been trying to get a picture of this elusive Blue Jay all summer. The darn thing comes by two or three times a day, singing out it’s loud piercing call.

Finally this past Saturday I managed to get a photo of it while it briefly sat on the top of a neighbors tall cedar tree three or four houses away.

Cool! I haven’t seen a bluejay in a long, long time. I love their bright blue color, but yes – I remember that they can be awful chatty, and with attitude. Once when I was a kid, I remember one used to dive bomb my cat…poor Kitty!

What a beautiful bird! I love birds and we don’t have that one over here I think, at least I’ve never seen anyone. How interesting.
