It’s snowing

It’s been snowing here on and off since Friday. Here’s a glimpse of what it looked like Friday evening:

January Snowstorm Toronto

When it gets this way outside, I remember some of the beautiful scenes of summer, like this:

dahlia2

I love this Dahlia photo. You know, I have these planted in my front boulevard and I didn’t take them out of the ground last fall.

Oh oh … they probably won’t make it. Oh that’s so sad. Well I have had Dahlias come up again in the past. It’s a risk. We’re Canadian zone 6b here, but USDA zone 5b. Dahlias are zone 6 or 7 I believe, but then we’ve had a mild winter up until the past two weeks so they might make it. I hope they will. I want to see these beauties again.

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

Dahlias is such wonderful flowers! And there is so many different ones that’s really unique each one of them. I love Dahlias.

I hope it makes it 🙂

I hope your dahlia makes it. It is such a beautiful shade of pink!

I have to admit I find the snow so pretty and wish we had more. It is so crazy here, I to want to go out and work in the yard with the sun shining so high yet the temp is down in the low 40’s!Brrr!

Spring will be here before we know it. I am starting to turn my thoughts toward my gardening plans. That will keep me warm!

I hope it makes it. If I had to pull things out of the ground for them to survive, I wouldn’t have a garden… I am the ultimate in lazy gardeners… Plant it and forget it is the way i like to do things…

    I envy your snow…

And… This week, I officially played again!

I hope the Dahlia survives, and thanks for sharing the photo.
