Need home or car insurance?

by Tricia

I’ve just visited a site that many of my UK based readers might want to visit- particularly if you are in the market for new home and car insurance.

You might be happy with the insurance company that is currently handling your coverage but it doesn’t hurt to browse around and get quotes from other companies every now and then in order to see if you can get a better quote. I know I try to save money whenever I can, and visiting insure121.com might save you some money.

What I like about the site is that it’s laid out in a user friendly manner. If you are looking for home insurance you just need to click on the home insurance tab and when it brings up the page you can view a list of various companies that offer home insurance and get quotes from them. It’s that simple!

While you are on the site compare car insurance or home insurance rates you can also read a number of interesting articles about insurance. They’re listed at the bottom of the main page and you might find them very helpful.

Get your shower invitations at Wedding Needs

by Tricia

I know it’s only February but I bet a number of you have children, cousins, nephews and nieces that are getting married this spring or summer. It’s time to start thinking about the upcoming bridal shows that you might be attending or possibly even planning.

If you are planning a shower for someone you care about why don’t you visit the Wedding Needs site and take a look at their bridal shower invitations. They have a fantastic selection on the site at very reasonable prices.

Now that I know about the site I’m certain that If I’m in a bridal party in the future that I’ll be taking a look at their wedding shower invitations and other types of shower invitations since there selection and prices are so good.

They even offer at least one deal. If you purchase 100 or more wedding invitations through their site you can get free Bridal Shower thank you notes.

Isn’t that nice?

Did the groundhog see his shadow?

by Tricia

Alright readers, give me your report. Did the local groundhog in your area see his shadow today or not?

wiartonwillie.jpg

Confused about ground hog day? Well, it’s said that Groundhog day grew mainly out of a German superstition that if a hibernating animal casts a shadow on February second, the Christian holiday of Candlemas, that winter will last for another six weeks. However, if no shadow is seen it’s said that spring will come early.

We have a few groundhogs here in Ontario that we keep an eye on, on Feb. 2nd. Wiarton Willie is probably Canada’s most famous Groundhog.

For the record. I’m writing this post at 2:15 a.m. February 2nd. Obviously it’s dark out right now. My weathernetwork icon on my desktop says that tomorrow morning will be -9 c (15.8 F) and that it will be partial cloudy with a 30% chance of precipitation.

My prediction based on our warm winter up until mid- January, and the weather conditions for this morning is that our groundhog will NOT see his shadow.

Lets see if I’m right or not.
