Malva Sylvestra Zebrina

Malva

This is a nice little perennial that I grow in my back yard flower bed. It’s a malva plant which is native to North America, but this one is a hybrid version. It’s very hardy and or reseeds itself well. I never have to worry about it no matter how cold the winter since it keeps returning each year.

I grow this lovely white with purple striped Malva Sylvestra zebrina in front of my gigantic William Baffin rose. The rose is starting to take over it’s portion of the garden bed and I fear that I’ll soon have to move a number of plants that are in front of it and to the sides of it because it’s over shadowing the poor things.

When the rose, William Baffin is in full bloom it’s flowers are a beautiful light pink and it’s well complimented with the white and purple Malva Sylvestra growing in front of it, hiding it’s bare legs.

Now, fellow Green Thumb members, I’m as guilty as many of you are of not going around and visiting all the sites lately. My excuse is that I just have not been feeling well this year at all and it’s become harder for me to make the rounds for all the memes that I participate in.

What is your excuse? I know that visiting sites has slowed down- dramatically. What’s up? What can I do to get everyone visiting more of the Green Thumb participants each week? Should we have a contest every now and then? Best photo each week? Best green thumber (person who visits the most sites and leaves the best comments?)?

You tell me. For many of us this is not our busy gardening season so we should have a little bit more time to get around to each others sites. I could understand if the majority of participants were in full gardening season, but I’m just not sure what’s going on right now …

Our Green Thumb Membership is growing each week and I’m quite proud of how it’s grown. However, since the list has 37 members I’d hope that at least half would participate and make the rounds each week.

So what’s it going to be? How can we get participation up?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

Find out if your spouse is cheating

by Tricia

I just watched a video for a software product called PC Pandora and I’m totally amazed at what it can do. It’s stealth software for your computer that can monitor every keystroke, and take snap shots of sites visited, IM messages, email, written documents – everything.

PC Pandora was created for three main reasons. Those who want to monitor their children’s activities on the computer and help keep them safe, employers who want to monitor their employees computer activities and perhaps see how they use company data, and of course, the biggest reason of them all, to monitor spouses who might be cheating.

I must admit I was a little skeptical at first as to just how much PC Pandora could capture on a computer but after watching this video I have no doubt that there’s nothing that couldn’t be captured on a computer if PC Pandora was running on it.

Now, I’m certain that I have a good marriage and that my spouse is not, and would never cheat on me. We spend three days a week together and he works just down the street from our home and comes home pretty much right after work all the time. He doesn’t exhibit any of the signs of a cheating spouse. In fact, even though I’m stuck at home with my illness I am probably the one that, if someone took a hard look at our activities, would look more like a spouse who could be cheating due to my long hours on the internet, and late nights up talking to people online and so on. Why would someone suspect me over my husband? Well it’s said that 9 out of 10 people say cheating is easier today than ever before due to the internet and since I spend so much time on the internet I guess that could raise suspicion, if my husband were the suspicious kind.

The video that I watch opened with some amazing facts. Some that I was aware of, and others that I hadn’t heard before. Such as the fact that 57% of women cheat on their partner, and that one in three people have turned an online chat or email into a real life meeting that ended up in sex.

Notice that I said I’m certain that I’m in a good marriage? Did you know that one in two people who consider themselves happily married have also cheated on their spouses? I haven’t. Honest!

If you have reason to suspect that your spouse might be cheating on you a product like PC Pandora can either set your mind at ease, or confirm your worst suspicions. I mean, I don’t think my husband would ever cheat on me, but if I ever had reason to suspect him I’d rather know the truth sooner than later so I could get on with my life.

PC Pandora can be set up to run in stealth mode on your computer so that there is no way anyone but you would know it’s running on the computer. You can set it up to take snap shots at whatever intervals you’d like. For example it could take a screen shot of your spouses online activities every 30 seconds perhaps. You can access all of the data that PC Pandora has collected by using an encrypted password.

You know watching that video and hearing how much cheating is going on was kind of scary. It said that 9 out of 10 women who feel that their partner is cheating are correct, and that three out of four married men cheat on their wives. Wow! With stats like that it seems like most marriages or relationships are doomed.

If you want to check up on your spouse, child or employees Click Here For More Info On PC Pandora. Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you – You can try PC Pandora before you buy, and that they offer a money back guarantee. Check it out for yourself.

I’m just hoping that I never have a need to check up on my spouse.

Three friends

Aw, aren’t these three the sweetest little things?

I don’t know about you, but there’s something about baby ducks. They just always look so sweet, and soft. I haven’t held a baby duck for a long time but if I remember correctly they’re very soft to the touch.
