This weeks Theme is Empty

trees at beach

Trees in January. Empty branches, barren of leaves.

We’ve got an empty beach type theme going on across our sites today. This photo was taken one January in the Beach area of Toronto.

For some reason I’ve always liked the look of trees, especially when they are free of leaves, or in the early spring when the leaf buds are tiny and bright green.

I love the form and structure of trees. Our trees are already in full bud and bloom. I love spring!

Beautiful picture for this weeks’ theme! I was just in Toronto last weekend:-) Our trees are still pretty empty here, no buds that I can see yet!

Each year I wait for the fall when the trees become “empty” and then just when you think it will never come again, they become “full” of spring.
