Wordless Wednesday
I found these blooming in my garden bed this weekend. I used to have several clumps of these, but the rest seem to have disappeared or else they are coming up slower than this clump of blue iris that happens to be in a very sunny portion of the garden.
I just love how delicate the petals look. Each petal is so thin, and fine, with shades of other colors within.

Mines up too
That is a STUNNING photo. You must have a great camera . . . and I love how you faded the edges. Beautiful. I could look at it for hours.
This is such a beautiful picture and what a marvelous subject! I thoroughly enjoy your site…
What beautiful flowers. A sure sign that Spring is here!
That is such a lovely photo of the picture.
What a gorgeous iris. Mine aren’t ready to bloom just yet … soon, I hope.
ohhh…i love the color! too bad, we had a bad frost here couple of wks ago, so it ruined most of the flowers…tsk tsk tsk
Amazing flowers – can’t wait till mine start poking up. Visit my blog at High Strangeness Altoona, favorite me at technorati, or go directly to my Wordless post.
what beautiful Iris! Marvelous shot. D
what a beautiful flower–love the color!!
Really beautiful shot!
Absolutely lovely! You must be in a warmer climate than we are. I’m thinking about joining your Green Thumb Sunday but I’m not sure I’d have enough pics to participate all the time.
Lovely photo! It’s gorgeous.
You would LOVE the garden slideshows on the Better Homes & Gardens website. Such a nice distraction on this cloudy day here in D.C.:

Reminds me of my parents yard when I was growing up. We had iris’, daffodils, lily of the valley, forsythia, pussy willows and lilacs. It was like growing up in a garden. It always smelled so good out in the backyard in the spring
Beautiful! The flower and the picture, both.
Thanks for posting such a beautiful photo – irises are so cheering. The light is lovely, a really nice picture.
I love flowers and I love your photos. You inspire me to grow them but I’m afraid I can’t. My daughter once wrote in her school journal that I don’t have gardening skills. How right she is, lol.
Such a pretty color of blue! Our irises are finally blooming today, what a fun surprise.
