Just Joey is Just Blooming!

by Tricia

I posted a photo of one of my roses in bud form for Wednesday’s Wordless Wednesday post and a few commenter’s wanted to see what this lovely rose looked like when it’s in full bloom:

justjoey4

How is that for a beautiful bloom?

Just Joey is a gorgeous, if slightly temperamental hybrid tea rose. I say it’s temperamental because in my zone it does fairly well through the winter, but the stems do die down to the snow line. With winter protection it does much better and blooms earlier.

Just Joey has a lovely scent. One or two blooms indoors fill a room with scent.

If you live in zone 5 or higher I recommend that you get this rose. You will not be disappointed.

This rose is spectacular. What a fabulous name. I wonder who decides what to call a new rose.

Wow – what a gorgeous blossom, and a fantastic shot of it too! On my monitor there is alot more pink to this rose than I expected (from the tags on ones at the nursery) I wonder if I can squeeze one more rose into the garden……Cheers!

    What a beautiful photograph!

It makes me think of a lush jungle setting, with warm speckled sunlight being filtered through the trees. A wonderful effect and a lovely rose too!

    Cheers,
    Keith.
