Wordless Wednesday
Most of the roses in my garden are beginning to develop rose buds. It won’t be long before beautiful roses like this Prince Napoleon Climbing rose fill my garden with their beauty and their scent.
What's blooming today?

I’m sure that many of my regular visitors have probably noticed that As the Garden Grows got a new look last weekend.
I liked the other theme, but it didn’t work well in all browsers. In fact a few people had trouble commenting because the comment section would drop down to the bottom of the page in I.E. I believe.
I decided it was time to freshen up the gardening site and I do hope that you like the new look and new features. As far as I can tell it works fairly well in most browsers although one of the sidebars seems to drop to the bottom when the main page is viewed in Internet Explorer 7, but the sidebars seem to work ok on all the rest of the pages.
If you have any difficulties with the theme such as part of a page not loading I’d appreciate it if you’d tell me which page you were on and what browser (and browser version) you were using when you experienced a problem. I’m just trying to work out the bugs so most everyone can view and use this site easily.
Next up … I need to restore comments in the page section. This theme didn’t come with comments in the page template so I’ve got to figure out how to add them in.

I think my garden is building up to it’s spring peak. More tulips have come up and developed buds, the German and Siberian iris’ are growing strong and should send up flower spikes soon. The primrose (this is primrose isn’t it) is blooming –
The azaleas have developed buds and one of them has started to bloom:
The chives have developed buds and will bloom shortly. This photo is actually one from last year and some of the chive buds had already opened:
The best thing about the garden this year is that I really did a lot of work on it two or three weeks ago, so it’s nice and tidy and other than making sure the vines are growing where I want them to grow I really haven’t had to do too much gardening work since. It’s nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the garden.
I have a ton of photos on my camera that I still haven’t found time to transfer to the computer. As a result all of the pictures I’ve shared with you today are actually from last spring – but don’t worry, the plants look pretty much the same as they did last year. LOL
