Wild Flower and a snail

by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

IMG_4926

A wild flower that I came across while on a walk with my husband and dog in Toronto’s Taylor Creek Park.

Do you see what’s above the flower? It’s a snail. A pest I’m sure, but it looked pretty beside the flower.

After receiving a few comments I know believe that the flower above is a wild chicory.

A lovely shot, snail and all. I live in the desert, so I get flies in my flower pictures. Too dry for snails.

Snails are indeed pests around here. More so in my previous home, where they would devour everything in the garden.

I wonder how long it took the snail to get up there 🙂

Even if it’s a pest, one sure has to admire mother natures all diversities! And the patterns. Lovely.

Yes snails are pest here too, but this one was looking so pretty beside the flower that I couldn’t resist taking a shot. It’s a pretty flower too. I wish I knew what kind it was. Lovely blue.

Oh, I love the color contrast of his yellow and black shell against the blue of the flower. That’s a chicory flower, isn’t it?
