Wordless Wednesday
Isn’t this the sweetest thing? Two tiny fawns (baby deer) hugging in a field of flowers …
I think it’s adorable. I only wished that I’d seen this with my very own eyes. Too cute!
What's blooming today?

I’d swear that we’ve had enough warm, well not warm, but above freezing days, in February that some of my roses might have been fooled into thinking that it was almost Spring.
I’m sure I saw a few tiny leaf buds on some of my roses in the front yard the other day.
Of course it’s gone back to freezing – absolutely freezing! – cold again so i won’t be out there closely examining my roses until we have another span of decent weather. Right now it’s -10 Celsius (14 F) outside but feels like -16 Celsius (3.2 F) with the windchill … that’s pretty cold!
So I think I’ll stay indoors if I can and just think about how nice my garden will be in just a month or two.
Here’s a photo of one of my top favorite roses – Breath of Life. Isn’t it lovely?

It was beautiful outside today. The weatherman was reporting yesterday that while we were expecting warmer than normal temperatures (6 Celsius (42 F)) we were also going to have a mix of snow and rain and then finally – showers.
Well, so far that hasn’t happened. We had a little snow last night, but with the above freezing temps the little we got has melted away and most of the snow that had remained from the last snow storm is now gone too. No rain or snow so far today either.
My dog Midnight and I took advantage of the nice weather by taking and extra walk in the afternoon. It felt like Spring. I can hardly wait until it really does start to warm up!
Over the last several years my crocus’, the ones that I planted right in my front and back lawn, usually begin to come up and have their first bloom right around March 26th so I only have about a month to wait until my first outdoor flowers begin to appear. Oh I can’t wait for Spring!
