Site makes me remember my old neighborhood

by Tricia

Before Chris and I got our house we lived in a apartment in a very trendy part of town. Within walking distance there were really good restaurants, night clubs, antique stores, and unique little shops like the “doll house” or “Georges Trains”.

We loved getting out and taking a walk through the neighborhood, window shopping as we went. Our new neighborhood has a lot of stores and restaurants within walking distance and it’s nice, but the shops aren’t of the same caliber as the ones that were in our old neighborhood.

What made me think of this anyway? Well I just found a site on the internet called Moveable Models and it made me remember the stores of my old neighborhood. Have a look at the cute pedal cars. I really like them, as I’m sure any collector would. I suppose they might make a good gift as well. You can get a variety of models from a 1932 Roadster, to a 1965 Mustang. Moveable Models also has a number of other items such as Pedal Planes, Model Trains, diecast model cars, trucks, motorcycles, ships and boats, as well as motorized models.

Check it out for yourselves. I enjoyed my short walk down memory lane.

Maltese Cross

When I purchase my first Maltese cross for the garden back in 2002 I really didn’t know if I was going to like the plant or not. It was an orangey red though and I thought that would go nice to with the other plants I had planned to grow in the garden.

I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the Maltese cross very much.

It’s tiny delicate little flowers clustered together on at the top of long 4 foot or so high stalks. I have a few of these plants now and they are so easy! They are perennials and they pretty much take care of themselves.

The Maltese cross goes through it’s first bloom in early to mid July, and then often has another set of blooms in late August to Early September. The flowers last at least two weeks each time they bloom.

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

Online bookkeeping services for the small business

by Tricia

I wish that when I had my own company that I’d found this great book keeping company or one just like it. Of course that was more than 15 years ago and the internet was in its infancy so I certainly wouldn’t have found one online back then as easily as I found this company today.

The company is called quickbooks accounting and they offer book keeping services for the small business with very reasonable pricing. They charge low monthly rates for book keeping services, and you can even organize and keep track of your businesses payroll with their online payroll system.

If you have a small business and find that keeping track of your book keeping or trying to figure things out with your accountant who doesn’t really care all that much about your small business is too much hassle and takes precious time that you could be spending on developing your business think about having a look at Accounting Paradise.
