What's blooming today?

I’m finally able to do something that I’ve wanted to do every since I started my beautiful back yard garden in the spring of 2002. I now have the ability to bring my computer outside and sit in the garden as I work on my computer, websites and while answering e-mail.
Yes, that’s right folks, I’ve finally joined the ranks of laptop owners!
I took this photo last night after I brought my new laptop, aptly named Tricia’s Toy, outside for it’s first visit to the garden.
leafy growth that you see to the right of the patio table is that rose, Antique ’89, that I nicknamed the monster in one of my earlier posts. The monster has one cane that must be approaching 16 or more feet tall. It’s huge and it’s thorny! I have my scars from my battle with her a month ago.
So now, while the weather is nice, I’ll be posting to this site live from my garden Internet cafe. I’m hoping to be inspired!
Oh yes, I also got another new toy last week. I bought a Sony Cybershot DSC-H5 and I’m loving it so far. The quality of the photos that I’ll be posting to my sites will likely improve substantially. If you want to see the latest photos as I take them feel free to visit my flickr site.

I left my gladiola bulbs in the ground this past winter. Come to think of it I left them in the ground the winter prior to that too. Well, not all of them have survived but some strong ones did and they started blooming this week.
Isn’t this just a gorgeous bloom. It’s so delicate.
The garden astounds me each time I go into my backyard. Whether it’s the vibrant colours of Tropicana Canna leafs, the first cucumber or tomato, or a lovely blossom such as the one I’m sharing with you.
Each day I find something that is beautiful in it’s own right.
