Do you get a kick out of reading your horoscope?

by Tricia

Almost everyone has read their horoscope at one time or another. Some people read theirs every day. If you want to get a kick out your horoscope you should visit the Guru Monkey and read their version of your weekly horoscope. I’m pretty sure that you’ll at least get a laugh.

They don’t claim to offer correct horoscopes. In fact they say that their weekly horoscope might only be accurate for one person in the world. The intro to the site says they have a gifted staff of psychic astrologers dedicated to bring you as close to possible of taking the guess work out of life. I’m sure that’s all tongue in cheek.

I’m a Virgo and my weekly horoscope tells me that I should go out and buy some shoes because I need shoes. However I’m supposed to ignore the first pair that interest me for some reason. Well I already went on a shopping spree this week (see my main blog) but I didn’t even look at shoes. Maybe I did ignore a pair? The horoscope also informs me that I should go back to school. Now that is something I’ve been toying with. Hmmm maybe they do have psychic astrologers.

Have you checked your weekly horoscope on the Guru Monkey Yet? Let me know how accurate they are eh?

Tulips reverting?

by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

Red Tulip

Believe it or not, this is a tulip!

I don’t recall planting this type of tulip. What I think has happened is that my Texas Flame fringed tulips might have started to revert back to one of the types of tulips that they were created from.

Perhaps the tulips have been spreading and this tulip, and the ones near it, are actually new bulbs? There’s a group of 6 or so of them mixed in with the Texas Flames, and that’s why I think they might have reverted back to one of their parent species.

Either way, it’s a beautiful tulip isn’t it?

I love browsing through Interior Design sites

by Tricia

As you might already know from reading this blog and some of my other sites I’m very interested in renovation, DIY projects and Interior Design. In order to get ideas for my own projects I watch some of the TLC shows about renovation and design, and I often find myself browsing through Interior Design websites.

One of the sites that I’ve just been visiting is called Long Beach CA Interior Design. Obviously they specialize in work in California. That’s pretty far away from me so all I can do is browse.

I really like the kitchen and bathroom designs that I found in the sites Interior Design past projects section. They did this kitchen and bathroom in a Spanish Hacienda style home. The exterior has a real Spanish feel to it, but the inside is very modern and definitely influenced by North American trends.

Are you like me? Do you enjoy looking at the way interior designers design the look of a room or home? If you do, do you get ideas from the designs that you see that you can use in your own home?
