Roly Poly Soy Eco-Candles

by Tricia

Do you enjoy scented candles in your home? Perhaps you sometimes give beautiful candles as gifts? If you answered yes to either of those questions you might enjoy eco-friendly Soy Candles . These candles are longer lasting than regular petroleum based candles, better for the environment, bio-degradable, made from a renewable resource, and they are of course reusable.

I’m so excited about these candles. I’ve never heard of soy candles before. You see, I’m allergic to most scented products. Perfumes and most scented candles give me an almost immediate severe migraine, and it usually feels like one of my eyes are going to pop out of my head. The problem, I believe is the petroleum in these products. About twenty years ago scented products were more natural but as soon as they became petroleum based I developed my severe allergy.

Now it seems that I can have scented candles in my home.

The candles themselves are just lovely. One of their best selling products ins the 22oz Roly Poly Soy candle. It’s extra large, and longer lasting than regular wax candles.

The candles feature top shelf fragrances that are based in all natural vegetable oil, rather than the traditional liquid petroleum based fragrances. No wax candle is totally soot free but these are said to produce virtually no black soot.

The candles are custom made for you. When you create your order you can specify the candles scent, color (dye free), and the candle type – hexagon, round, size by ounce of your roly poly and so on.

The scent list alone is making me want to order up a bunch of these candles. Amaretto coffee, American apple pie, blueberry muffins, coconut lime verbena, Honey dew, mulberry, gardenia, jasmine, super cinnamon and many many more scents. I counted over 100 different scents before I stopped! No wonder I suddenly want to order several different candle scents huh?

The prices seem quite reasonable. I’m sure you’ll be pleased. Oh and if you really like their candles you can join their candle of the month club too, or sign someone up as a gift. They ship world wide using USPS priority mail or FedEx depending upon where the order is being shipped. Most orders should arrive within 3 to 10 business days.

If you decide to order Soy Candles use this coupon code FREE5 and you’ll save 5% off your order.

This is why I garden

This weeks Theme is Childhood

DSC01734 copy

Yesterday afternoon, I was sitting at the computer in my living room / dining room and all of a sudden this lovely scent came into the house. I realized that we’d left the back door open and a light breeze was blowing in through the screen door.

The scent was coming from my blooming hyacinths. These flowers have an intoxicating scent and they can truly be overpowering when you are close to them, or when you bring them indoors.

Since I was at least 75 feet away from the closest hyacinth the lovely perfume was quite enjoyable. Noticeable, even intoxicating, but not too strong at all.

This is why I garden. Once the gardening season starts I’m surprised and amazed almost daily but how the plants grow, and how the flowers bloom, or by little things like being able to enjoy my garden without even seeing it simply because I can smell it.

I grew up with hyacinths in my parents garden each and every spring. That’s why I thought that this photo might fit into the “Childhood” theme for photo hunters since they were part of my childhood too.

Take some time to smell the hyacinths if you can. They won’t be around much longer.

Online purchasing makes credit cards a necessity

by Tricia

I really do feel that owning a credit card is becoming a necessary evil. I mean, how many of you shop online? I know it took some time for people to start trusting online stores, but I think we’ve embraced it as a whole now and there’s no looking back. Which of course means, that in most cases, in order to purchase items online we must have credit cards.

For those who are able to budget themselves and are good with money this isn’t a big problem, but we all know people who, once they get a credit card, begin spending and spending and soon buy themselves into debt.

I was looking at all the UK credit cards available at CardGuide.co.uk and you know what? The have a great article about why a prepaid credit card might be a good idea for those who have trouble controlling their spending habits.

To use a prepaid credit card you’ve got to have money in the first place. You must load the card with that money before you’ll be able to buy anything with it. Say good bye to late payments and creditors calling at all hours!

Those of you who are able to use credit cards wisely might do better with one with low or no balance transfers. There’s quite a selection of credit cards at CardGuide. You might be interested in visiting the site to compare credit cards and see what’s right for you.

While you are visiting the site have a look at their article “Earning with Credit Cards” as it offers some insight into the type of person who should use cards with rewards built in and other ways to earn or save money with credit cards too.
