Smile has two award winning credit cards

by Tricia

If you’ve been looking for a new credit card you might be interested in the Smile credit card.

There’s currently two different types of cards in the Smile credit card line up.

One of the cards is the classic card with cash back. You’ll actually get 0.5% cashback on every penny you spend. Compared to other credit cards the Smile classic credit cards interest rates are fairly low as well, especially if you open a banking account with Smile as well.

The second card in the Smile line up is the low rate Gold card. Interest rates for this card is even lower than the classic card at just 9.9% APR if you take out a Smile current account, and only 14.9% if you don’t bank with the company.

At the Guardian Consumer Finance Awards, the Smile credit cards have been voted the Best Credit Card of the year four years in a row between 2002 and 2005.

Check out the credit cards now and Smile.

The sun is shining!

by Tricia

Finally!

The week started off well, with perhaps our hottest day so far this year, but then it quickly went downhill beginning on Tuesday.

It’s been cold, rainy and kind of dreary most of this week. I’m not complaining because the plants in my garden sure did need that rain and as I’ve said in earlier posts this week the garden has been growing and blooming like crazy.

It’s just that the cold and drizzle haven’t done a thing for my spirits!

Finally, today it’s sunny out. It’s still on the cool side though. It was supposed to reach 18 Celsius which is about 64 F, but as far as I can tell the highest it’s gotten has been to 15 C. Oh well, that’s still warmer than much of the rest of the week.

The weekend looks like it’s going to be really nice. I’m hoping to get outside and finish up the “spring cleaning” of my garden. I still have bulbs to plant too! Remember last fall I bought a bunch of bulbs but didn’t feel well enough to plant them? Well, most of them survived the winter in our cool basement but I’ve got to get them in the ground!

Since I haven’t planted any seeds yet I’ll probably do a bit of that this weekend too. We might even go to a nursery and buy some veggies that have already been started – tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers just to catch up!

We’ll also buy some new cedar mulch to put on the garden beds to hold in moisture.

Spring is a time for Romance

by Tricia

In an earlier post I discussed why Spring was my favorite season. It’s a time of change, growth and new experiences. I was talking about gardening and nature in my post but this is also very true of people as well.

School years end, we move on, some relationships breakup, and new ones start. It can be both an exciting and dramatic time.

It’s also a time when couples often make an effort to renew their relationship by spicing things up. Perhaps it’s just because winter limited the amount of things that one might do as a couple – I mean things outside of the home of course! So when Spring arrives it’s a joy to get outside and do things that we haven’t been able to do for a few months.

Things like a romantic picnic outdoors in a seclude or private area, renting a cabin or vacation home for a romantic weekend together, or simply going out on a date.

If you’d like to get some ideas about how to get some romance back into your relationship you might want to visit RomanceForEveryone.com.

Want to make your spouse or loved one feel special? Leave him or her a love note. You can read some romantic love letters that are posted at Romance for Everyone.

As I said above Spring can also be a time when relationships fail, or those who have been divorced begin to think about dating again. There’s a very informative article called “After a Breakup – When to start dating again” that some of you might find helpful.

Have you done anything romantic this spring? I’d love it if you’d share your stories. Oh and don’t forget to visit Romance for Everyone to get some new ideas too.
