If you’re thinking of moving visit the Ashville Homes site

by Tricia

Everyone has a dream place to live, or perhaps even an area they’d like to retire to when they can finally quite working and enjoy life in their later years.

If you are thinking of moving or retiring you might want to consider the city of Asheville. The city is located in Western North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s a thriving community with many things to offer – arts, entertainment, skiing and other outdoor activities and a lot more.

If Asheville sounds like an area worth checking out you might want to visit the Asheville homes website, where you can search MLS listings with an easy to use Google map.

Ashville has been rated as one of the 50 Most Alive Places to Be by AARP and I can see why. It looks like it would be a lovely place to live whether you are just starting out or reaching your retirement years. Visit the site and see what I’m talking about.

How much is your home worth?

by Tricia

Do you ever wonder what the value of your home really is? Do you think it’s increased or decreased over time? If you’re curious you should visit Valuesinfo.com for an online house appraisal to find out how much homes in your area are worth.

If you’re thinking of selling it’s good to know what kind of price you might get for your home.

We were quite lucky when we bought our house five years ago. The people selling this house were moving to a retirement home on a specific date so they wanted to sell their home quickly. It turned out that not only did we manage to get this house at a lower price than many others that were for sale in this area, but it also happened to be the most solidly constructed and in the best condition of the 40 to 50 houses that I’d looked at with my real estate agent over a two month house hunting period.

The value of homes in our area has steadily increased in the last five years. Our house is now worth more than twice the amount we paid for it, perhaps even slightly more since we’ve done a lot of upgrading, renovations and landscaping.

We aren’t planning on selling our home any time soon, but it’s nice to check what the value of homes in our area is every now and then. It certainly makes me feel good knowing we made a sound investment when we purchased our home.

Did you check to see if the prices of homes in your area went up?

Corte madera seems like a nice community to move in to

by Tricia

Every once in a while I think about how nice it would be to move to a warmer climate. Once where I could garden year round if I wanted. It’s not likely to happen, not any time soon anyway, but I can still dream about it can’t I?

If you’ve ever thought of moving to California you might be interested in Corte Madera Homes. They are within commuting distance of San Francisco. The homes are reasonably priced for the area, and best of all Corte Madera seems to be a nice small town. I wouldn’t mind living in a small town if it was within an easy commute to a larger city, jobs and other attractions – which of course describes Corte Madera perfectly.

The town of Larkspur is the closest community to Corte Madera. It appears to be a nice town with a lot of great attractions.

The Ravasio Real Estate site lists schools in the Corte Madera area, as well as community resources. If you’d like sound of Corte Madera and Larkspur take a look at the MLS listings for Marin County.

If I was able to, and if I was planning to move to a warmer area I think I’d certainly take a look at the Marin County area now that I know a little bit more about it. It seems to be a very nice area.
