I love day lilies.

I only wish that their blooms would last for days and that they would rebloom over and over again all season. Yes, some day lilies do rebloom once or twice in a season but not all of them do. This day lily, the Sammy Russel, happens to rebloom at least once per season.

It’s a lovely deep maroon shade. The bloom are quite large and they stand out in the garden beds quite nicely. I can’t wait until the day lilies and all of my other flowers begin to bloom again.

Rain drops on a window, different angle with a view of the neighborhood.

I couldn’t decide which photo I like better so I decided to post both. I took this photos on a rain December afternoon. It was raining quite hard and our upstairs bedroom window was just covered with big rain droplets. The first photo is a macro shot of the rain drops, while the second is just a view from a slightly different angle. You can see my neighbors houses across the street in the second photo.

I can’t say that I’ve taken many photos in the last few months, but now that spring is here I’m sure I’ll be getting outside with my camera to take lots of interesting pictures.

I’ve experimented with our photos this week. A few weeks ago I asked Jean from Orchids and Violets what filter she’s been using on her lovely photos and she was kind enough to tell me that she’s been using the photoshop Nagel Series 1 Borders actions on her photos. So I downloaded the software last night and ta da! The photos that I put up on this site and Tricia’s Musings this week are using the new borders.

Please don’t forget to visit my other site to see the lovely water fall that I posted. My husband has another photo of a lake that I took on his site too. Check them both out please.
