Roly Poly Soy Eco-Candles

by Tricia

Do you enjoy scented candles in your home? Perhaps you sometimes give beautiful candles as gifts? If you answered yes to either of those questions you might enjoy eco-friendly Soy Candles . These candles are longer lasting than regular petroleum based candles, better for the environment, bio-degradable, made from a renewable resource, and they are of course reusable.

I’m so excited about these candles. I’ve never heard of soy candles before. You see, I’m allergic to most scented products. Perfumes and most scented candles give me an almost immediate severe migraine, and it usually feels like one of my eyes are going to pop out of my head. The problem, I believe is the petroleum in these products. About twenty years ago scented products were more natural but as soon as they became petroleum based I developed my severe allergy.

Now it seems that I can have scented candles in my home.

The candles themselves are just lovely. One of their best selling products ins the 22oz Roly Poly Soy candle. It’s extra large, and longer lasting than regular wax candles.

The candles feature top shelf fragrances that are based in all natural vegetable oil, rather than the traditional liquid petroleum based fragrances. No wax candle is totally soot free but these are said to produce virtually no black soot.

The candles are custom made for you. When you create your order you can specify the candles scent, color (dye free), and the candle type – hexagon, round, size by ounce of your roly poly and so on.

The scent list alone is making me want to order up a bunch of these candles. Amaretto coffee, American apple pie, blueberry muffins, coconut lime verbena, Honey dew, mulberry, gardenia, jasmine, super cinnamon and many many more scents. I counted over 100 different scents before I stopped! No wonder I suddenly want to order several different candle scents huh?

The prices seem quite reasonable. I’m sure you’ll be pleased. Oh and if you really like their candles you can join their candle of the month club too, or sign someone up as a gift. They ship world wide using USPS priority mail or FedEx depending upon where the order is being shipped. Most orders should arrive within 3 to 10 business days.

If you decide to order Soy Candles use this coupon code FREE5 and you’ll save 5% off your order.

We need a new mailbox

by Tricia

It’s the time of year that many people start to do their spring cleaning. Spring cleaning doesn’t involve just cleaning the inside of the home of course. It can be cleaning the garage and I think it should probably include all of the regular types of indoor and outdoor maintenance we do for our homes too. Whether that’s re-painting the fence, staining the deck, or doing a little bit of work on the indoor plumbing. Spring just seems the time when we do those tasks.

One of the things that I’d like to do this spring is get a new mailbox. I tried to convince my husband that we needed a new one last year but he in turn convinced me that we didn’t. It turns out that I was right. The lid squeaks like crazy when we open up the mailbox to retrieve our mail and it actually stays open instead of falling closed. I think our mailman has given up on our mailbox because he just leaves it open all the time now.

I visited a site called Mailboxixchange and they have a lot of great choices in mailboxes. They have everything from mailboxes on posts, to wall mounted mailboxes – that’s the kind I need, and of course mailslots.

The mailbox designs are very nice. They have everything from antique styles to modern styles with copper finish. The site has given me some great ideas. Now to decide just which one we should get.

Place the lowest unique bid and win a prize

by Tricia

I decided earlier today to give bid4prizes a try. It’s a really cool site. You sign up for an account and then you get out there and bid for really nice prizes like HD plasma television sets, Cash, Apple iPhone, laptop computer or even a computer monitor. There’s lots of great prizes every day.

The goal is to try to get the lowest unique bid. You place a bid for an item, perhaps as low as 2 cents and then you get an email or text message on your mobile phone that tells you whether that is the lowest bid, or if others have bid lower or at the same rate. You can place several bids on the same item.

I think I placed bids on all of the current prizes. I think one of the items being auctioned should be done now, but others are set to end in a day, a week, or even 90 days from now. That’s right I forgot to tell you that one of the prizes is a BMW car!

I’m not a really lucky person but I’d certainly love to win any of the prizes that I bid on. Why don’t you give it a try yourself? It’s kind of fun.
