Gift baskets for all occasions

by Tricia

I must be in a holiday mood this week. I’m usually behind in getting my Christmas gifts each year. Perhaps to some of you reading this right now- I might be behind already, but believe me, I’m way ahead of myself this year.

The only problem is trying to think up good gifts to give to people. I have some relatives that I’ll have to send packages to if I want to give them a gift, so I’ve been thinking about giving them a gift baskets. I wish I had found Delightful Deliveries earlier. I just went to their site and they have some of the coolest Halloween gifts that I’ve ever seen. Things like Pumpkin butter cookies and chocolate walnut pecan witch gourmet apples. Yummy. They look delightful.

It looks like the company makes gift baskets for all occasions. Just looking at their list of Holidays and occasions I can see gift baskets for Autumn, Breast Cancer month, birthdays, new babies, gift baskets just to say I love you, sympathy and even housewarming baskets. My niece finally moved into her home after waiting two years for it to be built. She only moved in August. Do you think it’s too late to give her one of the beautiful Housewarming baskets I just discovered?

It looks like they ship throughout the US and Canada plus over 40 international countries. As we get a little closer to Christmas I’m going to be visiting Delightful Deliveries again and I’m pretty sure I’ll end up picking out a gift basket or two, they just look so good.

Green Tea

by Tricia

I enjoy a nice cup of Green tea when I’m sitting in my garden on a nice fall day. Sometimes I have one to warm me up after I’ve come inside after working in the garden for hours. Does anyone else enjoy green tea too?

I’ve actually been drinking Green Tea for several years now. It’s caffeine free, and studies have shown that it might help fight or prevent certain types of cancer. It is also said to aid in digestion.

What types of green tea do you drink? I often drink Japanese green tea. Since I try several different types of green tea I’ve been looking it up on the internet. I found a site that sells Japanese green tea online and has a lot of information about the various types of green teas, brewing methods, and storage information too.

As I was browsing the site I found a product called Matcha. This looks like it could be good! It’s powdered green tea. It may even have more health benefits than traditional forms of green tea. I must look into this.

Does anyone else enjoy a good cup of green tea or do you drink it for it’s health benefits?

Binoculars for Garden and Nature lovers

by Tricia

I was thinking about what kinds of gifts I could get my friends and family this coming Christmas. The idea of giving a pair of binoculars to a couple of these people occurred to me.

I think my parents in law might get some good use out of set of binoculars because they have so many birds in their backyard and surrounding area. They’re always telling me “I saw a cardinal today” or “I saw a Blue Jay and it’s mate up in the backyard maple”. I’m sure they’d be thrilled if they could take an even better look at the birds that fascinate them daily.

We have a small set of binoculars that used to be my mothers that I often use to take a better look at the birds and other creatures that frequent my backyard. My husband, curious guy that he is sometimes gets the binoculars out to look up the side street that is opposite our house to see what someones building or doing far down that street. Yeah, he’s nosy.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of giving my in laws some binoculars this Christmas. Perhaps a pair for my middle brother as well. He’s a nature lover and a traveler. I’m sure he’d appreciate a nice set of binoculars.

I have no idea what type I’d get for either of them though. There are so many brands and types of binoculars. I just went searching and I found a site that tells you how to buy binoculars. I think I might spend a bit of time there reading the information. Hopefully it will help me decide which type would be best for each of them. The site that I found that information on Opticsplanet.net also sells binoculars and offers free UPS shipping on orders over $29.95. I guess I’ll spend sometime looking at what they have to offer too.
