New Question and Answer Page

by Tricia

I don’t know if you’ve noticed it yet, but across the top of the page under the header I have listed a number of what I feel are this sites important pages. Green Thumb Sunday, how to join the GTS list, A list of what I’m growing in my garden (just updated!), a contact form and now I’ve added the new Q&A page.

Every once in a while someone will decide to take a chance and they either leave a comment or contact me via email in order to ask me to help them identify some strange plant that’s growing in their yard or maybe they are writing to me to ask about a plant that’s not doing well in their garden or in their home.

I’m certainly not a master gardener, but I’ve been gardening since I was a young child and I’ve got a garden that’s chock full of a wide variety of plants, plus there’s a number of house plants in my home … certainly I can try to answer some questions.

As I suggested on the Q&A page – if you have a question for me about plant health, plant care or the identity of a mystery plant please feel free to leave a comment on that page and I’ll do some research and create a new post on this blog about the question.

If I can’t answer a question I’ll try to point the person towards resources that are sure to be helpful.

If you do have a question for me remember to try to give me a link to a picture of the plant in question. I may use the photo in a post (be aware). If you can’t point me towards a photo please do be as descriptive as possible as it will save me a bit of time researching the answer!

If you’re kind enough to send me your questions you’ll be helping me get more garden related content on this site. For the longest time I was doing pretty good about putting up new plant profiles and tips but that’s fallen off in the last few months. I’ll help you if you can help me. 🙂

Also, if you have a garden related event in your area and you’d like to get the word out feel free to tell me about it and if I feel it’s appropriate for this site I’d be happy to tell my readers all about it.

Send me your questions!

Learn more about products that you’re thinking of buying at Wize

by Tricia

Now that the weather is cooling many of us are likely staying inside more often. Perhaps you’re looking around the home and thinking about what you can do over the winter months to improve the look of your home? Perhaps a new television or some appliances are needed?

Well if you are planning on making any purchases over the next while you might want to visit Wize.com where you can read up on all kinds of pr0duct rev1ews.

Wize.com has pr0duct rev1ews for just about anything that you might be thinking of purchasing – from a GPS and navigation systems to the latest digital cameras, washers, dryers, televisions, computers, laptops, health and beauty, products for kids, the latest games such as playstation and Xbox and more products that I can mention in this post!

Just start at the main page and find the type of product you’re interested in learning more about and then drill down through the menus until you find exactly what you’re looking for – don’t worry it’s easy to find just about anything and you can always use the search section at the top of the page too. Once you find the pr0duct rev1ews that you’re interested in you can read reviews and check out the Wize rating number.

The Wize rating beside each product is a measure of how popular an item is and how satisfied consumers are with the product in general. The higher the rating the higher the general consumer satisfaction in the product really is – so that means it’s a product to keep your eye on and possibly purchase.

I’m not planning any major purchases in the near future – well other than possibly a new washer and dryer, but I’m going to bookmark this site and I’ll be sure to visit it the next time I’m thinking of buying something for my home. I always like to do a little research on major products before I buy them and Wize makes it easy to do just that.

ConstructionDeal helps you get the project done!

by Tricia

My husband and I have been renovating our home since the day we moved in 6 + years ago. It’s kind of tiring to live with ongoing or in reality at the moment stalled projects! I’ve seriously thought of hiring someone to finish the project we started in our living room dining room!

Then just the other day I saw that a posting for ConstructionDeal.com Site Recaps, so I took a look at the site and I thought that a site like this might be perfect for myself as well as for some of my readers.

If you are a land owner, home owner or perhaps even a business owner and you are thinking of creating a construction or renovation project and you need to find contractors or service professionals to complete your project just visit ConstructionDeal.com.

ConstructionDeal.com offers their service completely free. Just go to the site and take a look around. You can either create your own post detailing your project and the services that you need, or you can browse the directory for a service professional.

Using the directory is actually quite easy. Just find your State and city listing and then you can browse through service listing for residential or commercial services such as new construction, additions/remodels, Interior, and exterior with listings for architects, landscapers, plumbers, contractors, painters and just about any kind of construction renovation service in between.

Posting your own project works in a similar way. You need to locate the type of professional service that you need and then create a post that lists details about your project, your estimated budget, location and contact information.

Easy as that and you can get started on your project!

ConstructionDeal.com only has listings for the United States at this time. Since I’m in Canada I can’t use this great free service at this time, but perhaps in the future they will expand their listings across North America.

Other features of the site include their home improvement blog and financial assistance for projects via ConstructionDeal.com’s partnership with E-Loans.

Check it out!
