Large selection of custom window treatments

by Tricia

Like many home owners we try to do some type of renovation or decorating project on our home each year, whether it’s to help maintain the house or to make a room more functional and beautiful.

Many long term readers of this blog probably remember that we are completely renovating our home. We’ve been on a break from renovations for a while, but it will soon be time to start up again. We still have to finish our living room / dining room area, but after that we’ll move on to our Kitchen, the basement and the two bathrooms. After than the only things that will need to be done might be repainting, maintenance and perhaps changing decor.

If you are thinking about changing the look of a room you might start with a coat of paint and then perhaps move on to the windows. Adding shades or blinds to a window can help change the look and feel of a room, plus blinds and shades add function as well because you can control the amount of light in the room easily by simply adjusting the blind or shade.

If you’d like to look at a wide selection of custom window treatments for your home you might want to visit the DecoratingDepot as they have a fantastic selection of Wood Blinds, shades, horizontal and vertical blinds, Faux Wood Blinds and more.

They even have a selection of sliding panel blinds. I really like the look of their Woven Wood Sliding Panel. They’d look great in my enclosed back porch since it’s all windows.

Their blinds and shades come in a variety of materials and colors, for example you can get bamboo, wooden blinds, faux wood blinds, aluminum and vinyl blinds, and roman shades.

DecoratingDepot offers free shipping, no tax, guarantees their price and I believe you can even request free samples if you are having trouble deciding which type of blind or shade to choose. They even have a “virtual room decorator” that you can use to see how various types of blinds or shades might look in your room. Check it out for yourself.

Buy new blinds and get your money back with innovative new program

How would you like to be able to Shop for Free Window Blinds? Certainly if you need blinds for you windows I’ll bet that you’d appreciate getting them free.

This is a very interesting idea and I hope that more companies adopt this patent-pending method of shopping.

The idea behind this is that you’d visit Freeblinds.com and shop for window blinds just like you would at any other online store. The difference is that once you get to the check out and pay for the blinds that you’ve just ordered you’ll be given a unique code, lets call it a referral code. All you have to do at that point is share your referral code with others. You’ll then receive 20% of their product purchase.

So, just for the sake of simplicity, if the blinds you purchase are $100 and five of the people you give your referral code also buy blinds worth $100 you’ll get $20 from each of their purchases and in no time the new blinds hanging in your living room or bedroom will end up being absolutely free.

If you have friends, family or co-workers who need new blinds it should be easy enough to pass on your referral code. Even easier if you have a blog or website as you can embed a banner in your web site or myspace page. Freeblinds.com makes it easy to hand out your referral code to as you can print out cards with your unique code on it once you are in the checkout area. You can also opt to enter the names and email of friends and family while in the checkout area and Freeblinds.com will send them an email with your referral code.

You will keep receiving 20% of the purchase price from all of the people who use your referral code until 100% of your purchase is has been returned.

I don’t need new blinds right now so I’ll bookmark the site and likely use it in the future. They do have a wide selection of blinds, shades, and motorized shades and blinds to choose from as well as installation instructions and other information about blinds and shades.

If you need new blinds visit the site. You can’t lose since you’re sure to eventually get your money back.

It’s time to change the curtains

by Tricia

Our windows are dressed with a mix of curtains and blinds. Sometimes both on the same window depending upon the rooms purpose and how much light or privacy we want in that room.

We have blinds in the bedrooms so that we can darken the rooms while sleeping. Remember my husband and I used to do a lot of night shifts.

I’ve thought of getting new curtains for some of the rooms in our house. Certainly the bathroom needs new curtains. I never did take down the ones that the former home owners used and I think the curtain in the bathroom must be 20+ years old. Yes it’s time for a change.

Terry’s Fabrics has ready made curtains in a number of lovely designs and styles. Not only do they sell curtains but they also sell all of the accessories needed to dress your windows such as poles, tracks and other accessories.

When I’m ready to begin redecorating some of the rooms of our home I think I’ll be visiting Terry’s Fabrics to browse through their large curtain selection.
