Breath of life rose bud and rain drops

by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

Breath of Life rose bud

Rain drops and Rose buds. Two of my favorite things.

My roses have finally stopped blooming what with all the snow and freezing temperatures that we’ve been having here in Toronto. It’s about time … but I’ll miss them over the next few months.

Sometime this week I’ll have to take my camera outside and take some photos of frosty plants. Even though the plants are wilting due to the cold they can still look pretty neat when covered with snow, frost or ice.

Yes I know this Wordless Wednesday post is late, again! I got mixed up as to what day it was – again. I’m so tired lately thanks to our new puppy and my Crohns. sigh …

Take a look at my photoblog

by Tricia

I spent some time yesterday evening updating my photoblog.

The blog now has a new theme – really just an updated version of the theme I had been using, but it looks so much better! The link colors are orange instead of gray and the set up is a little bit different too.

If you visit Breath of Life you must take a look at the archives page. I love the way it loads with thumbnails of all of my photos. The other theme did that too but it took some time to load. This one seems to load very quickly and it’s wider so it’s much more appealing.

I usually save my best photos for my photoblog so if you like the photos that I use on this blog and on some of my other blogs you should really like the photos on the photoblog. The majority of the photos are plant and flower related – I know you’ll like them.

I have so many great photos of flowers and plants that I took last week that it was really hard to come up with just one for this weeks GTS.

These leafs are Canna Tropicana leaves. My cannas never did flower this year. It’s been a strange year for a few of my plants. It did however produce the colorful leaves that it’s known for and I think I can forgive the dear plant for not flowering since it has such vibrant leaves.

This photo is of a black Hollyhock.

My hollyhocks did well this summer. No rust on the leaves and as you can see they produced lovely flowers. This hollyhocks blooms are such a deep purplish red that they appear to be black. It’s blooms look as glossy and vibrant in the garden beside my ever producing raspberry bushes as they do in this photograph.

If you’d like to see one of the most gorgeous rose photos I’ve ever taken please stop by Breath of Life Photography. It’s a delight!
