New Members!

by Tricia

Well, it seems that my Green Thumb Sunday meme is really taking off. At least 9 or 10 new people have joined or will soon be joining the meme.

This of course means that I’ve been busy trying to help people figure out how to add the blogrolls to their sites. Every type of blog system is different, and it’s so frustrating!

If anyone out there knows how to add a blogroll to:

  • Typepad
  • Free wordpress.com
  • or LiveJournal

Would you please be really sweet and write me up some very simple instructions as to how to put a blogroll either on a page or in the sidebar?

Not that I don’t like helping people or anything, but it’s frustrating!

Plus, Sunday was my 12th Wedding Anniversary and I spent the whole day on the computer helping people with the various blogrolls that I run (fabulous photoblogs, Toronto bloggers, and I am Canadian).

For now- on the systems that I can’t figure out- New members may link to the Green Thumb Blogroll on this site. This link must be on their front page. I’d also like for all of my Green Thumb Members to have a link to the Join Green Thumb Sunday page too.

It’s Click & Comment Monday! You guys know the drill by now don’t you? I don’t have a renter so visit someone in my Links Page and leave them a comment, then visit a blogger that’s linked to there site and so on. Please visit at least five different blogs in this manner.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Procrasting again!

by Tricia

ChionodoxaRemember my post last week? I think it was last Monday? When I said I had purchased a number of spring bulbs and that I was going to plant them that day or the next?

Well I haven’t planted them yet.

I do have a semi-valid excuse though. I haven’t been feeling very well, and it’s been very cold here in the last week. The cool weather is probably all the more reason why I should get those bulbs in the ground as soon as possible as I have a feeling this is going to be a cold winter here, but I haven’t done it yet.

Tomorrow I have an early doctors appointment, so, if the weather is co-operating perhaps I can get off to an early start and get those bulbs planted in the ground. I’m storing them in my enclosed front porch at the moment. It’s cool in there but the temps haven’t dropped below freezing in that room so I’m pretty sure the bulbs will be ok.

I’ll take some photos of the packages and list the types of bulbs when I’ve planted them.

I promise!

It’s Click and Comment Monday! Find someone on my blogroll to visit and leave them a comment. Then find someone on their site- renter or blogroll and move on from there. Try to visit at least five sites in this manner in order to spread the bloggy love!

My Addiction

by Tricia

I went out on Saturday and bought several types of spring bulbs from Freesia to tulips. I haven’t purchased bulbs for a couple of years because I planted so many in the first three years that we had the garden. I think I’ve planted more than 3000 bulbs in those first years.

Unfortunately some of the bulbs have either died off, or else they were dug up and carried off by those pesky squirrels, so I just had to purchase more right?

Depending on the weather I hope to plant them later today or perhaps tomorrow. No delaying like I did with all of those annuals. Uh huh, these are going in the ground as soon as possible.

I’ll tell you exactly what I bought and planted in my next post – and how many there were. I don’t have the bags near me right now but I’d estimate there are at least 300 bulbs this time round!

Yeah I’m addicted to gardening, so shoot me. LOL

It’s click and comment Monday and yeah, I don’t have a renter, but please feel free to visit one of the links in my blogroll ( My blogroll is on the Links page) Pick someone to visit and leave a comment, then visit their renter or someone on their blogroll and leave a comment there. Do this at least five times to spread the bloggy love.
