Learn more about products that you’re thinking of buying at Wize

by Tricia

Now that the weather is cooling many of us are likely staying inside more often. Perhaps you’re looking around the home and thinking about what you can do over the winter months to improve the look of your home? Perhaps a new television or some appliances are needed?

Well if you are planning on making any purchases over the next while you might want to visit Wize.com where you can read up on all kinds of pr0duct rev1ews.

Wize.com has pr0duct rev1ews for just about anything that you might be thinking of purchasing – from a GPS and navigation systems to the latest digital cameras, washers, dryers, televisions, computers, laptops, health and beauty, products for kids, the latest games such as playstation and Xbox and more products that I can mention in this post!

Just start at the main page and find the type of product you’re interested in learning more about and then drill down through the menus until you find exactly what you’re looking for – don’t worry it’s easy to find just about anything and you can always use the search section at the top of the page too. Once you find the pr0duct rev1ews that you’re interested in you can read reviews and check out the Wize rating number.

The Wize rating beside each product is a measure of how popular an item is and how satisfied consumers are with the product in general. The higher the rating the higher the general consumer satisfaction in the product really is – so that means it’s a product to keep your eye on and possibly purchase.

I’m not planning any major purchases in the near future – well other than possibly a new washer and dryer, but I’m going to bookmark this site and I’ll be sure to visit it the next time I’m thinking of buying something for my home. I always like to do a little research on major products before I buy them and Wize makes it easy to do just that.

It’s really cooling off at night!

by Tricia

Is it getting cooler in your area? It’s getting cooler here and the temperatures seem to be dropping lower than they should at night for this time of year.

On Sunday I happened to look at my weather widget on my computer and I saw that it was supposed to go down to 0 Celsius overnight. Yikes! Zero at this time of year? I’ve still got tomatoes, Cannas, Passion flower vines and other tropicals outdoors!

My husband and I talked about how low the temperatures were going to go and I thought about just covering the plants with a sheet of burlap. We have plenty of that for winterizing so it’s handy! Instead we decided to bring some of the more delicate plants – passion flower, jasmine, ornamental pepper and two potted tomato plants into the back porch. Yes it still gets cool in that room but it’s enclosed and it always seem to stay a few degree’s warmer than whatever it is outdoors.

The enclosed back porch faces south and it’s been an ideal room to use when I’ve got my act together and have started seedlings in the late winter or early spring. Some winter days with the sun shinning fully into the room it can get up to between 70 and 80 F in there even when it’s close to zero outside! Of course at night without the sun it cools substantially.

Anyway, I think I might leave the potted tomatoes in the room for as long as I can. Perhaps I’ll be eating fresh tomatoes long after you’ve pulled yours out of the ground?

Major hosting troubles!

by Tricia

I’m sorry that I missed Green Thumb Sunday.

I don’t know if any of you read my other blogs but I’ve had some major problems with my web host. Last Thursday they sent me an email telling me that they had moved my domains over to another server because something on my sites was over using the CPU resources on their servers.

I’ve spent the last several days going over all my sites, directories and folders, in order to try to figure out what might be causing the problem. Surely it isn’t purely because my sites are too busy?

I upgraded the software for 9 blogs and two websites. Yeah … that was a lot of work. That’s why I was missing in action.

To top it off on Sunday something went wrong with my main blog Tricia’s Musings and my web host disabled the index file so no one could access my site. We had a guest over for the weekend and Sunday was Canada Day so I didn’t even turn on my computer until the late afternoon. Naturally I almost had a heart attack when I saw that my site was disabled!

My sites are all updated and fixed up and I never did find out what was causing the problem. To the best of my knowledge my sites are still overusing resources. I may have to move them to a virtual private server.

So please forgive me for not posting any Green Thumb Sunday posts. It’s been a rough week.
