Silly arguement

by Tricia

Did you know that if you have a Dell computer that if you want to upgrade it’s memory you do not have to specifically purchase Dell Memory. No, you don’t.

As long as you get the same type and size of memory you’ll be fine.

I was trying to prove this to a friend.

She didn’t believe me until I actually opened up my own computer and showed her the few items that we’ve upgraded on ours and showed her that we bought generic products! Man, you can save a lot of money if you can get a generic item. Just like shopping in the grocery store … why not buy generic if it tastes the same as a name brand.

Hyacinth Macro

by Tricia

Many of the regular readers of this site are gardeners, or gardener wannabe’s. Everyone seemed to love my close up photo of the coral colored Hyacinth in one of my recent posts.

I bet you didn’t know that I took it a step further and got even closer. Hyacinth flowers are each less than once inch wide, perhaps as small as half an inch wide. Here’s an extreme closeup of one single hyacinth blossom:

Coral Hyacinth

I got as close to the flower as I could and used the zoom function on my camera. Once I downloaded the photo to my computer I cropped the photo until I got the image you see above.

Interesting? Too close?

This weeks Theme is Broken

00029159

Here’s an idea for all the combo gardener / computer geeks out there. Broken monitors apparently make great planters.

I’m not sure it’s my gardening style but it’s kind of a fun look isn’t it? I wonder what that gardener is going to do when the pine or cedar bushes get bigger? They should have planted them in bigger monitors!

If anyone has done something like this, or has other interesting ways to use common objects as planters I’d love to see the photos.
