Short delay for my Green Thumb Sunday post

by Tricia

Sorry gang, my GTS post is going to be delayed until sometime tomorrow. Well .. hopefully I’ll be able to post it by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

I had a bad allergic reaction earlier this afternoon after putting in my contact lense. Geez I hate these weird health problems I have. This is the third time this has happened in the last two months. I can barely see and my eyes are burning.

I thought it was a combination of being allergic to my dog, spring pollen and perhaps makeup, but now I think it’s my contact lenses. As soon as I put them in today my eyes started burning and watering and swelling. Instant severe pain.

I’m typing this with my eyes barely open. There’s no way I can search through my photos to find one for a GTS post right now, or for that matter find pics for GTS posts on Tricia’s Musings or My World.

No matter how long it takes me to make my post, please do continue to participate in Green Thumb Sunday this weekend. Just leave a message in this post if I haven’t made my GTS post to let us all know that you’ve participated.

Thanks!

Plant your seedlings before it gets too hot

by Tricia

Who’s busy in the garden today?

It’s still early enough in the season to plant veggies, annuals and perennials. If you are like me, and haven’t started planting yet get to it soon. The evenings in most places still cool down at night and this is perfect for helping new plants get established.

If you delay and don’t end up planting until it’s hot and humid pretty much 24 hours a day it will take a lot more care to help newly planted annuals and veggies grow and survive.

I guess I’m writing this partly as a reminder and motivator for myself as I’m way behind in my garden care, maintenance and planting. If I don’t plant the annuals and veggies that I’ve already purchased soon they will likely die as they are drying out and becoming root bound in their small containers.

Is anyone else as behind as I am?

Maybe I should change the name of this site to As the Garden dwindles.

Slight delay on site changes

by Tricia

Yes I know, I said I was going to change the theme and look of this site a few days ago and nothing has happened yet. Honest, it’s going to change soon.

I won’t put a time limit on it, but I’ve got the new theme picked out and I just have to work on it and whatever graphics that I might include in the new design.

I’m also hoping to post some great articles soon. I have them in my head, I just have to start writing all of them out. I’ve recently been inspired and I think you will like the new home and garden related articles that I’ll be posting here soon.

The reason that I haven’t got much done this week – on any of my sites – is because I’m still feeling very sick. I just can’t make myself sit up and work on articles and site design when I’m like this. I haven’t even been able to talk myself into taking a walk in my garden to see what’s growing. Now isn’t that sad? I think it is.

Anyway, keep an eye on this site. Sometime in the very near future there’ll be a lot of changes and some great articles that I think you’ll enjoy. Stay tuned.
