Roly Poly Soy Eco-Candles

by Tricia

Do you enjoy scented candles in your home? Perhaps you sometimes give beautiful candles as gifts? If you answered yes to either of those questions you might enjoy eco-friendly Soy Candles . These candles are longer lasting than regular petroleum based candles, better for the environment, bio-degradable, made from a renewable resource, and they are of course reusable.

I’m so excited about these candles. I’ve never heard of soy candles before. You see, I’m allergic to most scented products. Perfumes and most scented candles give me an almost immediate severe migraine, and it usually feels like one of my eyes are going to pop out of my head. The problem, I believe is the petroleum in these products. About twenty years ago scented products were more natural but as soon as they became petroleum based I developed my severe allergy.

Now it seems that I can have scented candles in my home.

The candles themselves are just lovely. One of their best selling products ins the 22oz Roly Poly Soy candle. It’s extra large, and longer lasting than regular wax candles.

The candles feature top shelf fragrances that are based in all natural vegetable oil, rather than the traditional liquid petroleum based fragrances. No wax candle is totally soot free but these are said to produce virtually no black soot.

The candles are custom made for you. When you create your order you can specify the candles scent, color (dye free), and the candle type – hexagon, round, size by ounce of your roly poly and so on.

The scent list alone is making me want to order up a bunch of these candles. Amaretto coffee, American apple pie, blueberry muffins, coconut lime verbena, Honey dew, mulberry, gardenia, jasmine, super cinnamon and many many more scents. I counted over 100 different scents before I stopped! No wonder I suddenly want to order several different candle scents huh?

The prices seem quite reasonable. I’m sure you’ll be pleased. Oh and if you really like their candles you can join their candle of the month club too, or sign someone up as a gift. They ship world wide using USPS priority mail or FedEx depending upon where the order is being shipped. Most orders should arrive within 3 to 10 business days.

If you decide to order Soy Candles use this coupon code FREE5 and you’ll save 5% off your order.

Have a regular game night in your home

by Tricia

My husband likes to get together with the guys every now and then for a game night. One of our friends has a regular weekly poker game and my husband goes to our friends house regularly to participate in this mini poker tournament.

When I visited the Executive Gaming Monthly website a little while ago I discovered that they have a game of the month club. When you register and purchase one of their game of the month packages you’ll have a new game of your choosing sent to you each month. I was thinking that this might make a great birthday gift for my husband since he already enjoys participating in a regular game night at his friends.

We could have our own regular game night – and not only that, but feature different types of games each month thanks to the game of the month club.

The site offers a number of different types of monthly game packages. There’s the “Player level game of the month club” all the way up to the “custom game of the month club”.

There are a wide selection of games that you could select to be delivered to your home each month. For instance, depending upon what package you chose you could get a blackjack game one month, a poker game the next, and a roulette game the following month and so on.

If I got a gift like this for Chris we could set up some of the games in the backyard with our lovely garden for ambiance in the summer time, and then in the cooler winter months we could set up our hopefully soon to be renovated basement as a recreation and games room with, eventually, a variety of casino like games set up to play on game nights.

Now imagine having three or more different games that you could play on game night? Wouldn’t that be great? Check out the Executive Game Monthly website if you are interested in seeing all the games and gaming packages that they offer. Oh and they even have extra game supplies too.

Home Keeping Handbook

by Tricia

I’m struggling to find some writing ideas. It’s hard to come up with great writing ideas at this time of year – not only because we are in the cool weather months but also because of the holidays. So I thought I’d turn to others and find some popular books that my readers might enjoy.

Martha Stewart’s Homekeeping Handbook: The Essential Guide to Caring for Everything in Your Home

Now I know, Martha is one of those people that you either just love, or hate – but whether you are a lover or hater you have to admit she comes up with some pretty good tips and ideas every now and then.

Martha Stewarts home reference book is said to be a must have for many reasons. The book is printed on thick, glossy pages covered with sepia photos and it’s full of tips and ideas sectioned off in a room by room guide.

Whether you have a large or small home the key to making it beautiful and livable is managing the upkeep without feeling flustered. Marthas book tells you how to care for your home and everything in it so you’ll be able to keep your home looking it’s best. Everything is covered in this book – from creating a living room floor plan to setting a formal table; from choosing HEPA filters to sealing soapstone countertops; from organizing your home office to polishing your silver and caring for family heirlooms.

If this book sounds like a great gift idea or like something you’d like, It might be a little late to order this book for Christmas online, but here’s an Amazon link for it just in case:
