The V garden bed

by Tricia

DSC02046

I’ve often referred to this small garden bed as “the V“. It’s located at the end of my driveway, and in truth I only own half of this small V shaped flower bed although all of the plants located within “the V” are mine.

At the back of the V you can see tiger lilies growing. On the front left you can see Globe Flowers which I’m sorry to say have finished blooming. They might produce another set of blooms for me in August if I get out there now and cut them down a bit.

In the middle there’s a Valencia rose that got hit hard this winter because I didn’t protect it. It’s still alive and has grown quite a bit since I took this photo.

To the right of the globe flowers there’s a cream colored Day lily, and right beside that is the beginning of our arched trellis that has the Breath of Life climbing rose and a lovely clematis growing on it on the V garden bed side, and a Harlequin Honeysuckle on the other side.

I just realized that you can also see some dwindling daffodils in this photo too. There’s about 10 daffodil bulbs planted in this flower bed.

So that’s “the V”. Now you’ll have an idea of what I’m talking about when I discuss my many garden beds. This one competes with another tiny flower bed at the side of my house for smallest flower bed.

Realtors use House4Cell to instantly get info to interested buyers

by Tricia

I’ve been asked to discuss an exciting new service that’s been made available to those who work in the real estate market. The name of the service, a nice play on words, is House4Cell. This service allows realtor’s to use mobile technology in order to market properties.

Those interested in a property will only have to text in a code that can easily be found on the “for sale” sign in front of a property and they’ll instantly get a message containing photos and information about the property.

As a homeowner, I think I would have liked having this technology available to me when I was searching for a home to purchase. As it was, when I did see a house that looked interesting I’d stop and write down the name of the realtor, as well as the website if it was listed and then go home and try to do some research on the internet. Now, however, if a realtor were using the House4Cell service I could get the information I wanted within a moment of texting the code into my cellphone.

There is a free demo of the service on the House4Cell website if you are interested in seeing how this new program works.

I’m sure this program will enable realtors to connect with interested buyers much more quickly and it might in fact increase their sales. As I said, when I was looking for a home to purchase I would have been happy to use such a service and I’m sure many of those who are reading this writeup would also find such a service to be helpful.

When a potential new client uses the text system to get information for a particular property, not only will they get information about the property and up to three photos, but they will also get fax numbers and email addresses so that they can request more information or perhaps even set up an appointment to view the property.

Realtors offering this service might actually get more leads to follow up on than their competitors who choose not to sign up with House4cell.

Plus, through this service you’ll be able to send “blast alerts” to homebuyers who have opted-in. Through these blast alerts you can let interested parties know of price-drops or other homes with similar features in the same area.

Inquiries can also be tracked online.

If you are a realtor think about checking out this new service. Rate plans start at $29.99 for three listings, which is only about $8 per property.

House4Cell is a sister company of Cellit Mobile Marketing. They make it easy for their clients to manage their mobile market campaigns.

Over 20,000 types of flooring at DiscountFlooring.com

by Tricia

Once the good weather begins here in my home town I notice a trend. Houses begin to go up for sale, and those that bought new homes begin renovating them, or perhaps those that didn’t sell also begin to upgrade their homes. This activity usually begins in March or April and continues at least until September.

Are you one of the people who are beginning to upgrade or renovate your home this year? Are you thinking of putting in new flooring? If you are, you might be interested in visiting DiscountFlooring.com where you can purchase everything from wood floors to laminate flooring, tile floors, porcelain tile, and even glass floors.

What I like about the site is that you can browse through the site by the type of flooring or tiling that you are looking for, or by brand names. There are thumbnail photos of each type of tile or flooring that you can click on in order to get more information about the product, as well as it’s pricing per square foot.

Discount Flooring lists more than 20,000 different types of flooring and tile products. You can choose from hardwood floors, laminate, cork, bamboo, ceramic tile, grantite, travertine, or glass.

There’s also an article library at Discount Flooring where you can find articles about picking the right flooring for your home, installation guides, and other tips and tricks for designing a room. They also have a service locator, so if you’d like to have your new flooring professionally installed you can use the service locator to find a contractor in your area.

We might install new flooring in our kitchen when we get around to renovating it. I’ve bookmarked this site so that I can browse through the different types of flooring when the time comes to decide what we’re doing with our kitchen. I suggest that you also bookmark the site if you have renovation plans in your future.
