I love my windchimes

I just love the sound of my windchimes.

I have them hanging inside our enclosed front porch so they don’t make a lot of sound unless there’s a good breeze coming in the window that they hang in front of, but it’s nice to hear them chime every now and then.

Sometimes I’ll walk up to them and make them make their musical sound by swinging the dangling pendant on my own.

Do you have windchimes? Do you like them or does the sound drive you nuts?

This weeks theme is Happy

DSC02155

I’m sure that anyone that’s been to this site before knows that as far as my garden goes seeing my plants doing well and blooming makes me happy.

Just look at the lovely rose photo I’ve included in this post.

I took that photo last year and I can’t remember just which rose bush those flowers were blooming on. My guess is that it’s either Compte de chambord or Baronne Prevost. Either way, the roses are lovely and highly scented.

Imagine walking into a garden filled with lush blooms like those above, surrounded my their beautiful scent. How could you not be happy.

This weeks theme is Two

Two birds, two photos …

They have their eye on something …

Yep it was one of the bird feeders …

DSC02236

I wrote a post the other day saying the birds that visit my yard are pigs.

It’s true. These birds are fairly small and the one feeder in the photo is about two feet tall and perhaps 6 inches in diameter. They can clean this feeder out in as little as one or two days depending on how many birds come around.

As someone commented on my piggy post I also do believe that the birds tell their friends that they’ve found a great place to eat and more and more birds show up over time. There’s no such thing as secret dining establishments in the bird world.
