Bringing the garden indoors

by Tricia

OMG! I went outside to look at the garden and I couldn’t help myself.

I usually don’t do this …. but I ended up picking enough lovely pink roses and pure white peonies to make a decent bouquet for a good size vase.

It’s lovely and it smells heavenly!

I don’t know why, but I normally like to enjoy the bounty of my garden – in my garden. Something compelled me to gather some flowers today though and I’m loving it.

Zephirine Drouin

Another lovely rose from my garden:

I have 60 or more rose plants throughout my garden.

This rose is located near my patio because it blooms several times throughout the summer – almost constantly, so there is always a pretty blooming rose to see when we sit on the patio for dinner.

Well, with 60 rose plants I guess I’ve always got a few in bloom anyway, but this one blooms a bit more often than some of the others.

I’m glad the Gladiolas are blooming

I left my gladiola bulbs in the ground this past winter. Come to think of it I left them in the ground the winter prior to that too. Well, not all of them have survived but some strong ones did and they started blooming this week.

Isn’t this just a gorgeous bloom. It’s so delicate.

The garden astounds me each time I go into my backyard. Whether it’s the vibrant colours of Tropicana Canna leafs, the first cucumber or tomato, or a lovely blossom such as the one I’m sharing with you.

Each day I find something that is beautiful in it’s own right.

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.
