I didn’t buy any new tulip bulbs to plant in the garden this year.
Most of the tulips that I’ve planted in previous years have continued to come up again and again each spring but I think some of the tulips might be dying out or perhaps the squirrels have got to them and transplanted them elsewhere.
I must remember to buy more next year!
When I was going through some of my older pictures on Saturday I came across this lovely fringed tulip photo.
I think this is the most beautiful tulip I grow. Actually this is possibly one of the most beautiful flowers of any kind that I grow.
I love it’s delicate fringes at the end of each petal. They’re unusual yet very pretty.
This tulip does well in my garden. It’s multiplying well. I should have dug up some of the bulbs last spring and planted some elsewhere so I could have more groupings of this tulip in other areas of the garden. I’ll have to try to remember to do that next spring.

I thought I planted a clematis.
I’m sure it’s flowered for the last two years and that it produced flowers that look very much like a clematis’ flowers.
This is the first year that I’ve ever noticed berries on the vine.
I’ve even got another “clematis” growing with one of my honeysuckles and it too appears to be producing berries.
I tried doing a search to see if any clematis produce fruit or berries and I didn’t have much luck in my search. Does anyone know if this is a clematis and if it’s not what could it be?
This is so strange!
I’ve got to admit that whatever this is the berries are nice and plump and healthy looking.
I’d like to wish a Happy Thanks Giving to my fellow Canadian visitors. It’s a long weekend here and that’s one of the reasons why my GTS post is a bit late. I hope that those celebrating Thanks Giving are having a fantastic long weekend.
