Can’t get to the garden

by Tricia

I had a bet with myself as to whether I would have gotten the plants that I purchased last Sunday planted by this time.

Remember I went out and got replacement roses for the ones I lost over winter and a whole slew of hardy and tropical vines?

Well they still aren’t planted! Same excuse as always. I’ve been feeling too ill to get the job done. Isn’t that sad? My garden is a place that makes me feel happy, relaxed and I do enjoy working in it … but I can’t because I just don’t feel well enough to even step outside the door let alone plant anything.

I think my husband is going to need some quick lessons on how to plant things properly and I’ll have to gain some extra patience for the process!

Silly arguement

by Tricia

Did you know that if you have a Dell computer that if you want to upgrade it’s memory you do not have to specifically purchase Dell Memory. No, you don’t.

As long as you get the same type and size of memory you’ll be fine.

I was trying to prove this to a friend.

She didn’t believe me until I actually opened up my own computer and showed her the few items that we’ve upgraded on ours and showed her that we bought generic products! Man, you can save a lot of money if you can get a generic item. Just like shopping in the grocery store … why not buy generic if it tastes the same as a name brand.

Time to get the plants in the ground

by Tricia

Anyone wanna take any bets as to how long it will take me to get my new roses and the other annuals and perennials that I purchased on Sunday planted?

I should have done it yesterday but I was feeling wiped out all day so I didn’t get around to it. Today, again, I’m still feeling tired and what’s worse we are expecting some big storms to roll in soon. If it begins to pour rain I’m not going to try to plant today.

I’m not going to make any promises to myself as to when I’ll get the new plants planted but I sure hope I get it done by the weekend. It’s getting very hot here and those new plants will do so much better once they are planted.
