Take the time to smell the flowers

If it wasn’t raining out I’d take the time to go for a little walkabout in my garden and smell the flowers like this adorable kitten seems to be doing.

Sweet photo isn’t it?

I know I’ve used it on one of my sites before, but I don’t think it was this one. Hopefully this photo is new to many of you who view it.

BTW my Green Thumb Sunday post is coming soon. I’m really sick today and I’ve got a lot of work to do … so I’d like to get that done first and leave the Green Thumb posts at the top when I’m finished. It’s a long weekend in the US so I figure that my USA readers might not come by until sometime on Monday anyway. The rest of you … I’ve either missed or perhaps you’ll make a return visit.

Due to my workload and illness I might not get around to Green Thumb Sites today – hopefully I’ll make the rounds tomorrow.






Rainy day

We’re getting some much needed rain here today.

It’s not too cool either. In fact, it’s 6:30 pm and I do believe it’s begun to warm up. Perhaps we’re heading into another warm spell.

We still haven’t managed to put our air-conditioners in our windows and Chris has to work tomorrow. I just told him that we’d better get them in on Tuesday, his day off, because the rest of the week is going to be very warm and whenever it’s warm here it gets humid.

I can take the heat but heat and humidity combined can be a real problem.

The storm is coming

I’m sitting here waiting for a storm to start.

It was a warm and bright sunny day up until an hour or so ago, but now the clouds have moved in and it has that ominous feel.

It’s humid and the air just feels thick. I’m sure a storm will arrive within the next half hour or so. Which means I’d better get whatever work I want to get done on the computer finished soon!

Lately when we’ve had bad storms it’s not unusual for the power to go out. I live in a huge city, 5th largest in North America, yet the power goes out when we get a good storm? Somethings wrong with that I think.

I hope that my readers are going to get some rain too if you need it.
