How much is your home worth?

by Tricia

Do you ever wonder what the value of your home really is? Do you think it’s increased or decreased over time? If you’re curious you should visit Valuesinfo.com for an online house appraisal to find out how much homes in your area are worth.

If you’re thinking of selling it’s good to know what kind of price you might get for your home.

We were quite lucky when we bought our house five years ago. The people selling this house were moving to a retirement home on a specific date so they wanted to sell their home quickly. It turned out that not only did we manage to get this house at a lower price than many others that were for sale in this area, but it also happened to be the most solidly constructed and in the best condition of the 40 to 50 houses that I’d looked at with my real estate agent over a two month house hunting period.

The value of homes in our area has steadily increased in the last five years. Our house is now worth more than twice the amount we paid for it, perhaps even slightly more since we’ve done a lot of upgrading, renovations and landscaping.

We aren’t planning on selling our home any time soon, but it’s nice to check what the value of homes in our area is every now and then. It certainly makes me feel good knowing we made a sound investment when we purchased our home.

Did you check to see if the prices of homes in your area went up?

Switch to video conferencing for better business communication

by Tricia

If you run a business or work for a business that often uses some form of tele-conferencing you might be interested in the site that I’ve just visited. It’s called Lifesize and they specialize in business communication systems from truly lifesize Video Conference in High definition to a product called Lifesize Phone which provides audio conferencing in high definition audio.

I suppose that not every business would be able to afford or need HD Video Conferencing at the moment but I wouldn’t doubt that most can and should make room in the budget to get HD audio conferencing. It’s definitely something to keep in mind as your company grows and as video conferencing becomes more and more popular as a way for businesses to communicate with their branches, representatives and clients. Compared to the old fashioned land line way of audio conferencing with static or being unable to hear all of the participants in the room clearly, HD audio is crisp and clear. HD audio uses 16 always on, circular array microphones with true CD quality sound.

HD video conferencing can be used on it’s own, or combined with the HD video conferencing equipment for extraordinary conferencing every time Lifesize’s products are used.

Never miss a meeting again use Snoozester

by Tricia

Don’t you love that when you go to a hotel, and you have an early morning meeting or activity, how you can ask the service desk to give you a wake up call at a certain time of the morning so that you wake up on time? I know that I love that kind of service. I find that sometimes there aren’t alarm clocks in the hotel rooms, or that they are old and don’t work properly. I hate relying on the clocks in the rooms. It’s much safer to ask for a wake up call.

Well, if you are like me and enjoy getting a wake up call when you are traveling, what would you think if I told you that you can get a wake up call anytime you want, whether you are at home, visiting friends or relatives or staying at a hotel? You probably think that that isn’t possible right? Well it is.

A company called Snoozester, the sponsorer of this post, has it’s own service that will provide you with wake up calls, anywhere, any time. Honest, you should try the Snoozester Wake Up Call Service if you need to wake up at a particular time, or if you have trouble waking up.

All you need to do is sign up with Snoozester and begin scheduling wake up calls. You can schedule the wake up calls to go to any phone number or cell phone that you’d like. You just register and an account, add in your phone number and perhaps your cell number and start schedule wake up calls. It’s that easy.

You can even choose to have your wake up calls delivered to you by Snoosester Characters. The characters are fun voices that greet you when you answer the wake up call. You can select from a number of Character voices whenever you schedule a wake up call.

If you are the type of person that doesn’t wake easily they have a featured called “Secure Awake”. This feature tells Snoozester to repeatedly telephone you until you answer the phone. It will call you every three minutes for 20 minutes. When you answer you can select number 1 to confirm that you are awake, or push number 2 to tell snoozester to let you sleep for a while longer and call you back.

The site is very easy to use. Just follow the steps in the registration process, or once you are signed in follow the easy directions and begin scheduling wake up calls. When you sign up with snoozester you’ll get 10 free wake up calls. You can sign up for a variety of packages that provide you with a certain number of calls per month. The packages range from 3.99 to 14.99 per month. They even have gift certificates available in case you know someone who could really use this service.

If you want to learn more about this service feel free to visit their site or visit their interesting Sleep Blog. Oh and they also have a great customer support service. Just use the contact form to send them your questions and they’ll get back to you quickly.

They have a Corporate Snoozester service as well, so if you have a company and want your employees to get in on time you can use this service to provide multiple wake up calls to your employees.
