Sharifa Asma – a lovely English rose.
Just looking at this photo brings the scent of this rose to mind. It has one of the most beautiful rose scents that I’ve ever smelled.
My Sharifa Asma is about five years old and grows to approximately 3 to 4 feet in height each year. It’s fairly hardy, probably a zone four with some protection.
It’s flowers are multi-petaled as shown above. They are what I call “fluffy” roses. They have more of an old rose look when the flower bud is first opening but as the flower matures the petals let loose and you get a full and fluffy look like I’ve pictured above.
