Yellow Asiatic Lily

by Tricia

A very quick time lapse video of a pretty yellow lily opening and blooming. I love the colour of this flower, it’s almost a mustard yellow. I wonder if it’s a hybrid?

Maybe next year when my plants are starting to bud and develop blooms I’ll try to create some of my own time lapse video. Has anyone tried making their own?

Time lapse of Cyclamen blooming

by Tricia

I love the music that accompanies this video.

This is a time lapse video of a cyclamen blooming.

The plant starts out with no blooms and by the end of the video you’ve watched 5 or 6 blossoms develop and bloom. It’s beautiful.

I love cyclamen but they are very hard to keep indoors.

I had one once and when it started to do poorly in the house, it was spring, I planted it outdoors. It came up the next year, but I don’t recall seeing any sign of it this past year.

Time Lapse: Amaryllis

by Tricia

Here’s an interesting video of an amaryllis blooming.

I love amaryllis.

I have three in my basement right now staying cool. Actually, maybe it’s good that I’m creating this post right now because I think I’d better bring them upstairs and let them start getting some bright light.

I want them to bloom in late January or early February just when I’m really jonesing for some pretty flowers.

Watch the background in this video too … there’s a lot of things going on in that home! LOL
