{"id":1441,"date":"2009-03-08T00:01:24","date_gmt":"2009-03-08T05:01:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/?p=1441"},"modified":"2013-10-11T22:48:45","modified_gmt":"2013-10-12T02:48:45","slug":"waiting-for-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/2009\/03\/08\/waiting-for-spring\/","title":{"rendered":"Waiting for Spring"},"content":{"rendered":"<!--CusAds--><p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/2006\/06\/23\/green-thumb-sunday\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/104\/306398715_49775ad925_o.gif\" alt=\"Join Green Thumb Sunday\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/2006\/06\/23\/green-thumb-sunday\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Join<\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the taste of Spring like weather we&#8217;ve been having lately &#8211; especially this past <a href=\"https:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/2009\/03\/06\/another-gorgeous-day\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Friday<\/a>! &#8211; I can barely wait until the first spring flowers in my garden start to appear!<\/p>\n<p>One of the first flowers to show up is always the Crocus&#8217;.  <\/p>\n<p>I planted yellow and purple ones in the lawn and just at the edges of my garden beds (lawn edges).  So come the end of March I should have some of these lovelies baring their lovely blooms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"Purple Crocus by triciawd, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/dragonden\/470513240\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\" class=\"ext-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/199\/470513240_a86c2ffd47.jpg\" alt=\"Purple Crocus\" width=\"451\" height=\"366\" \/><\/a><\/p><!--CusAds-->\n<p>One of the next flowers to appear each Spring is my Hellebore.  I love this flower. They&#8217;re so pretty.  I just wish they&#8217;d lift their flower heads more so that we could enjoy their blooms better. Shady Gardener being the most frequent.   I thought that most members had agreed to come and <a href=\"https:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/2008\/02\/03\/check-in-for-green-thumb-sunday\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">check in<\/a> on my Green Thumb Post so that all of our members would know who made a new post?<\/p>\n<!--CusAds--><p>From my end it feels like very few people are participating. I&#8217;m getting lonely!
