I choose flowering plants, a variety that would bloom from mid March until well into late October or early November.<\/p>\n<p>Now, while I still appreciate my wide variety of flowering plants I&#8217;ve noticed in the last couple of years the lack of greenery.  I put in more hosta&#8217;s over the last two years and I&#8217;m carefully working at selecting more greenery as it will balance the garden out and compliment the flowers. <\/p><!--CusAds-->\n<p>I usually try to get plants that are hardy to a zone or two lower than my USD Zone 5b or Canadian Zone 6b just to be sure they make it through our winters.  I know I shouldn&#8217;t have to go so low, but I really hate losing plants and this is one safe guard against losing plants. <\/p>\n<!--CusAds--><p>Does anyone have any suggestions for nice greenery that works well in their Zone 5 or lower garden?
