{"id":635,"date":"2007-06-07T13:20:30","date_gmt":"2007-06-07T17:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/2007\/06\/07\/flowers-everywhere\/"},"modified":"2010-10-05T00:20:57","modified_gmt":"2010-10-05T04:20:57","slug":"flowers-everywhere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/feverishthoughts.com\/garden\/2007\/06\/07\/flowers-everywhere\/","title":{"rendered":"Flowers everywhere!"},"content":{"rendered":"<!--CusAds--><p>I can&#8217;t believe my garden!<\/p>\n<p>The roses have begun to bloom this week.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"912745ff53504cd4aef8ff3ef7b9aa95\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: right; margin:10px 0 10px 10px;\">\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-3375789278566919\";\r\n\/* gardengrows_300x250inpost *\/\r\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"4054669721\";\r\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\r\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\r\n\/\/-->\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\r\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The winner of the first to bloom contest is my William Baffin Explorer rose as it was a close first to bloom, quickly followed by about five other roses on the same day including Morden Sunset, Bonica, Stanwell perpetual, the fairly and I believe Iceberg.<\/p>\n<p>Three or four of my clematis are blooming, as is my Dropmore honeysuckle, the Siberian iris&#8217;, Princess Victoria Louise Oriental Poppy, and one of my peonies &#8211; peony Pecher.<\/p><!--CusAds-->\n<p>Many of the other roses and perennial plants will soon follow as they are covered in buds!<\/p>\n<p>The first rose to bloom, and many of the first roses to bloom are extremely hardy roses.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d actually have to say that William Baffin is no longer a rose bush or shrub but rather a rose tree.  It&#8217;s at least 8 feet tall!  So heavy with roses that it&#8217;s new branches are leaning out from the garden bed weighed down with buds and flowers.   It&#8217;s a beautiful sight to see.<\/p>\n<!--CusAds--><p>Yes, I will take photos shortly.
