Can you cook cookies in your car?
A woman in Bedford, N.H., says she can put a heat wave to good use by baking cookies on the dashboard of her SUV. She puts trays of cookie dough on the dash and retreats to somewhere where there’s air conditioning.
“My husband wanted me to run some errands this morning,” Sandi Fontaine said last week. “I said, I can’t. I’m baking cookies.’ ”
She said the outside temperature needs to be at least 95 degrees to make the car oven work. “When you open the door to that car,” she said, “it’s like, oh my God. It’s a wonderful smell.”
