What would you do if you realized that you threw away a winning lottery ticket?
Luckily a North Carolina man, who threw away a winning $100,000 ticket, was able to find his missing winning Winter Winnerland instand scratch off ticket.
He purchased the first ticket a week ago but didn’t think he’d won so he tossed the ticket into the garbage. A few days later he decided to buy another ticket but this time he read the full directions on the ticket. It was then that he realized that he’d made a huge mistake and that he’d thrown away a winning ticket days before.
“My heart went in my throat,” he told the NC Lottery. “I went straight to that dumpster where the trash was tossed…I was there for at least two and a half to three hours until I finally found it. ”
Woodard said he will continue to play the lottery. “I just won’t be throwing anymore tickets away,” he told the lottery.
I think he was amazingly lucky to have found his ticket.
