Here’s some interesting judgments for you:
1. In October, a judge of Scotland’s Greencock Sheriff Court dismissed the traffic charges against Hui Yu, a college student from Beijing, because he disregarded two police officers’ identification of Hui. As he made his decision the judge said = “ All Chinese people can look the same to a native Scot. It’s only when you have time to look that you begin to see the differences.â€
Maybe they look the same to him, but he’s basically calling the police officers stupid and possibly stereotyping Chinese people by saying they all look a like. Time for this judge to open his own eyes.
2. Guy Fournier, The chairman of the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., resigned in September after giving an interview to a French magazine in which he expounded on, as The Associated Press put it, “the joys of bowel movements.â€
CyberCelt says
1. How strange that the judge actually admitted that.
2. Well, to each his own joy, I guess.
