There’s a new regional blog directory called Grokodile. You can list your blog in the directory for free.
All you need to do is go to the main page and then click on your Country and then drill down until you find a city or region for your location. For some reason when I clicked Canada it brought up all of North America, but that’s ok as it was easy enough to locate the actually provincial listings for Canada.
I drilled down until I found Toronto and began to create a listing for this blog. However the first time I tried it I wasn’t actually in the blog listing area and couldn’t add a blog with a sub-domain address as in myblog.com/blog which is the way this site is set up. So needless to say I ended up submitting my wifes blog Tricia’s Musings. That’s fine.
Andrew from Grokodile happened to comment on this post and informed me that the blog directory area for each regional directory does in fact allow single sub-domain directory listings. So I’ve gone back and added Odd Planet as well as a number of our other blogs to the site. All in all I’m quite please with how easy it was to add a new blog to the directory, minus my own little mistake earlier.
I think this is a great idea for a blog directory. I’ve always been interested in finding other blogs written by others who live in my city and now I’ve found a site that will let me find blogs from a particular area easily. You should be able to findOdd Planet and Tricia’s Musings in the Toronto directory on the site now.

Hi,
Just a quick note. I believe the directory will allow subdirectories (one level) if you put your site in the blog category. However, personal sites and business web sites do not allow anything other than a domain.
Regards,
Andrew
P.S. Thanks for adding your site!

Thanks for the heads up on this directory. I now have two more bloggies to promote. Cheers!
