Did you have a basketball hoop at your house when you were a kid? We didn’t but one of my friends had a hoop attached to their family garage and we were over there playing hoops almost every day.
I’ve often thought of getting a basketball hoop here at the house but the only ones I could ever find were ones that must attach to a garage or side of the house. Our driveway is too narrow to attach a hoop to the house and we don’t have a garage.
I think I might have found a solution to the problem with ProDunkhoops.com. They sell complete basketball systems, and all of the ones I’ve been looking at are bolted right into the driveway. I’d have no problem setting up one of these systems.
I’m actually very happy to have visited produnkhoops.com. If i get one of their basketball systems like the ProDunk Diamond system I can get back to making basketball goals in no time.
I think every home should have a basketball hoop. I mean, kids are sitting inside playing video games and not getting any exercise or fresh air and probably driving their parents nuts. If more homes had basketball hoops the kids would probably get outside more often and be healthier as a result. They’d also be playing right outside the house so parents could keep an eye on them too.
When I was a kid my dad would come over to my friends house to get me to come home for dinner. He’s always stop and play a game or two with us before dragging me home though. Same for my friends father, he’d come out and play a game with us too. It was a great way for both kids and parents to share some quality time and it left me with some pretty good memories of those days.
The ProDunk systems are fairly easy to install and they can be lowered or raised to suit the height of the children or adults who are using the system very easily. I also like that the systems are in-ground rather than being portable. They’ll withstand a lot more abuse than the flimsy portable ones that some stores sell.
I can see so many advantages to having one of these basketball systems that I’m just about ready to buy one. We don’t have kids yet, but I’d use it several times a week, and I’m sure I could get my wife out to play too. I’d much rather have a basketball hoop at the house when we do have kids than have my kids sitting inside playing video games, or play somewhere where I can’t see them.
Take a look at ProDunks basketball systems and see if one would be suitable for your home too.

Hey Chris,
I didn’t have a hoop either. What we did was to get a milk crete and remove the bottom so it was a square hole. The I attached it to the wall somehow… I think that I found a nail in the wall or tried screwing a screw into the filer between the bricks.
I’m surprised my Mom didn’t kill me!
But it was great to just play ball. Given the choice I’d have rathered a proper hoop though, and I KNOW for a fact that most kids today would rather a fancy store bought hoop than a milk crate!

I was always jealous about those who had basketball hoop at their houses. I was living in a block of flats so it would be difficult to have one…

I had a portable basketball hoop when I was a kid. It was great because even though I had no friends I could still shoot hoops.
