Did I get your attention? Are you wondering … What the heck are wallhogs anyway?
Well, I wasn’t quite sure what a wallhog was when I first heard the name of this company and product either, but the name made me curious enough to go find out. Naturally I wasn’t all that surprised when I discovered that it wasn’t a big pig (hog) that you could put on your wall, although I think I was a little disappointed when it wasn’t. I’m joking!
Ok, seriously now. A Wallhog is a photograph that’s been printed out as a poster, or printed on canvas or vinyl. The walhog of your choice can then be attached to a wall in your home or office.
I personally think that the photographs and images printed out on vinyl are probably the most versatile, as they can be applied directly to a wall and won’t damage the surface. They can also be removed easily and reused elsewhere.
Glossy and Vinyl prints can be created in sizes of 2 to 7 feet high, by up to 4.5 feet wide. Now that’s big. Picture a Wallhog on one wall of your kids bedroom. How cool would that be?
As you can see from the image above, they can take a photograph and make it into a Walhog for you. They’ll even remove backgrounds and adjust the color of the photo/print free of charge. Wallhogs also uses the best 6 color printers available today to create their poster, canvas and vinyl Wallhogs.
If you’d like to get a Wallhog on canvas you can have a photograph printed on the best quality canvas in sizes ranging from 11″ x 14″ to 24″ x 36″. Here’s an example of a large canvas image:
So, how do you get a Wallhog of your very own? Simple. All you need to do is go through a very simple three step process.
First, you can either upload your own digital image ie a photo that you’ve taken yourself, or a hi-res or vector graphic, or you can browse through their online catalog of photos and images and pick one that you’d like to get made into a Wallhog.
Once you’ve picked an image or uploaded one of your own, simply decide whether you’d like the print to be a poster, or on vinyl or canvas, what size you’d like, and how many prints. Then just finalize your order.
Wallhogs states that they have a very fast turn around and often ship out orders on the same day that they are requested. They also have no minimum orders so you can order one item or as many as you’d like. It’s your choice.
I’ve posted a few of my wifes photographs on this site recently and some of the people leaving comments have said “Wow, that would make a great Wallhog”. Interestingly enough, I’ve just discovered, as I’ve thoroughly checked out the Wallhogs site, is that they have a program where photographers or artists can sell their work in the Wallhogs catalog. I must tell my wife about that as I think she might be interested in a program like that. She certainly has some nice photographs and it seems that my site visitors have thought that her work would make great wallhogs too. Perhaps some of you might like to make some extra money by selling your photos through Wallhogs too?
Are you still with me? Good. Wallhogs.com stated that they’d be willing to offer a free Wallhog to one of my readers if I could come up with a contest.
If the people at Wallhogs are still willing to do this, I’d like to propose a contest where my readers would submit odd and or funny photos to this site to be judged once submissions were complete by myself and other readers of this site.
Visitors- what do you think? Would you like to enter a contest to win a Wallhog of your choice? Let me know. In the meantime hopefully the people at Wallhogs will contact me and approve this contest idea.

Hi. I am commenting on each Postie Blog that is listed on the Linky List. I have a sidebar widget that many people have decided to put on their blogs. In return I link to your blog under my Photo-A-Day Hosts Blog Roll.
What is the widget. Well, it is a daily photo from my Photo-A-Day project. I have been taking and posting photos to my blog for 2+ years straight. I just started year 3. I’d like to get more people viewing the images and commenting on them so if I can get many Photo-A-Day hosts then I hope I can get people viewing my photos and leaving comments.
You can add Photo-A-Day to your blog and contact me letting me know the widget it up and I will add you to my PAD Host link list.
Here is the link to the Photo-A-Day instructions and code. http://www.benspark.com/photo-a-day/
