Chinese workers looking after pandas have found a way of turning all the animals’ excrement into a profitable product.
The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Centre has made products including photo frames, bookmarks and Olympics-themed souvenirs.
“They don’t smell too bad because 70 per cent of the dung is just remains of the bamboo that the pandas are unable to digest,” Jing Shimin, assistant to the centre’s director, told the Xinhua news agency.
“We used to spend at least 6,000 yuan ($770) a month to get rid of the droppings, but now they can prove lucrative.”
Somehow I don’t think my wife would want one of these photo frames.

I think it is a great idea. They are eliminating an expense and making a profit at the same time.
