This past October, Tesco Stores in Britain agreed that a kit that taught women how to pole dance – advertised on it’s website as something to “unleash the sex kitten inside”, with a garter and a suggestive DVD, was unsuitable to have been placed for sale in it’s Toy section. The fear was that it might have been appealing to adolescent girls. Tesco moved it to it’s physical fitness section.
